It still isn't illegal, because your game is free. The reason might be just like when someone made downloads for minecraft's "testsurvival". I think it can get dealt with if you just add a "old versions" section in the "download" section of your website.

That's what I'm making it for.
That's stronghold. I still wish there still was a bad reading/spelling rating.
No. I wish for a semi destructible village, barricades, hidden guns and ammo, healthkits, dangerous zombies, a shotgun somewhere in the village and infinite zombies. [editline]29th November 2011[/editline] That's amazing! Thousands of people seeing your fabulous game.
Have you considered either adding proper weapon models, or at least giving them minecraft-style depth? [editline]29th November 2011[/editline] whoops, I only read the first page.
Hey Jack! Your Zombies look like they smile, I think they can't wait to get their limbs blown away! I would like to see a version of the zombies where they look less colourful, the cartoony style is cool and all that but I think a bit more dark grey to everything and less bright colours would not hurt the style.

Also, the "smiling" zombie is a trollbie, it is just an example mod.

P.S. Both "grey" and "gray" is correct, one is in american english other is in english english. I still have a lot of things to do until my currently planned features are finished but I decided to release some sort of "pre-release" version later this week, it will probably be buggy but I think that you might enjoy some of the new features I've been working on.
So it will be like an "open beta"?
Since the guns are now 3D, It'll be harder for people to make their own models to put in the game instead of just drawing them.
There is a lot of free software to do it through, like blender, which seems to be the standard developer favorite for this game. I wonder if you could make models with Softimage XSI, I have some experience with modeling, but I stopped learning because I'm not very creative.
So it will be like an "open beta"?
More like "open beta of an alpha" but you get the idea :D [editline]2nd December 2011[/editline]
Since the guns are now 3D, It'll be harder for people to make their own models to put in the game instead of just drawing them.
You can still make guns 2D, if you wish, since 2D guns are just a flat plane in 3D. Hell you can make models in Notepad if you're really hardcore, since .obj is a human readable format. This is a cube in .obj:
o Cube v 1.000000 -1.000000 -1.000000 v 1.000000 -1.000000 1.000000 v -1.000000 -1.000000 1.000000 v -1.000000 -1.000000 -1.000000 v 1.000000 1.000000 -0.999999 v 0.999999 1.000000 1.000001 v -1.000000 1.000000 1.000000 v -1.000000 1.000000 -1.000000 vt 0.665647 0.000000 vt 0.666667 0.332314 vt 0.334353 0.333333 vt 0.333333 0.001019 vt 1.000000 0.001019 vt 0.998981 0.333333 vt 0.667686 0.000000 vt 1.000000 0.665647 vt 0.667686 0.666667 vt 0.666667 0.334353 vt 0.334353 0.666667 vt 0.333333 0.334353 vt 0.665647 0.333333 vt 0.666667 0.665647 vt 0.333333 0.332314 vt 0.001020 0.333333 vt 0.000000 0.001020 vt 0.332314 0.000000 vt 0.000000 0.334353 vt 0.332314 0.333333 vt 0.333333 0.665647 vt 0.001019 0.666667 vn 0.000000 -1.000000 0.000000 vn 0.000000 1.000000 0.000000 vn 1.000000 0.000000 0.000000 vn -0.000000 -0.000000 1.000000 vn -1.000000 -0.000000 -0.000000 vn 0.000000 0.000000 -1.000000 usemtl s off f 1/1/1 2/2/1 3/3/1 4/4/1 f 5/5/2 8/6/2 7/2/2 6/7/2 f 1/6/3 5/8/3 6/9/3 2/10/3 f 2/11/4 6/12/4 7/13/4 3/14/4 f 3/15/5 7/16/5 8/17/5 4/18/5 f 5/19/6 1/20/6 4/21/6 8/22/6
Oh god, I remember a guy who tried that and ended up destroying his game out of rage.
Hmm, should I release buggy releases quite often () or should I release once one-two weeks but more or less bug-free versions instead ()?
We could wait for the full update, but buggy "experimental" releases could be a bit helpful to know about some bugs and will make the wait a bit shorter for some people. [editline]2nd December 2011[/editline]
Oh god, I remember a guy who tried that and ended up destroying his game out of rage.
I can clearly see why; if there are no specific way of measuring the point you want a polygon, it would be quite annoying testing and editing variables one by one after each test. That is a bit annoying when editing for example positions of raimeter skins or parts of skins.
I'd say 1 week releases with 2 week nonbuggy releases. Or moreover, less buggy releases.
Latest unstable build right here http://blog.xiphias.org/mfeotw It's buggy and there are some issues with optimization right now but I thought you might appreciate being able to try out new features and graphics. P.S. Mouse sensitivity can be changed in settings.xml now. P.P.S. and you can change the amount of zombies spawned.
I'm trying to make a shotgun for it, I've got the sprite all ready, but what should I edit in the .xml?
I just realized we now can change the number of spawning zombies. So the first obligatory thing I did was to add another zero and see what would happen. 50 zombies seems to be enough to lower my framerate by a slightly amount. [editline]2nd December 2011[/editline]
I'm trying to make a shotgun for it, I've got the sprite all ready, but what should I edit in the .xml?
Multiple bullets in one shot isn't implemented yet as far as I know, but it is a future thought.

So that people with low framerate can lower the amount of zombies spawned. [editline]2nd December 2011[/editline] Which made me realize that 1024x1024 texture on every limb might be an issue here....
Meshes imported from blender are slow. Compare a bunch of cubes made in unity and bender cube meshes and you'll see a huge difference. I don' know how to optimize that. Also, rigidbodies :(
There are no difference between a cube in Unity and in Blender. Both consist out of 8 vertices and 12 trises.
I know. But there must be something. Maybe it's the material.
Lol also when the game is done, will you charge for it or will it be free?
It will most likely be free, but he may add a Co-op "DLC" costing some money.

It's way too early to decide, it's going to be free to play for the nearest future, either way.

Artistic! How many Zombies are there?
Call it claymorecraft.
Have you decreased the texture quality yet? I can really see how shading would increase the problem of lag.
