Late bump, but its leaked.
Will post shots later if I can get it working under Ubuntu.
I can't wait to get my hands on this. I love the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series.
I've always loved stalker games, and this looks to be a quintessential one
Wish I could get it to work.
NET framework is being a bitch
This game is damn awesome, but it won't let you set textures to highest unless you have more than 2GB of RAM or are running on static lighting :S I just modified my boot file to use more than 2GB of virtual memory, so it lets me. Very nice looking game, DOF works well too.

It's not leaked, just released.
In Russia.
November something for Germany, Q1 2010 for everywhere else.

It wasn't leaked. It was just released in Ukraine/Russia.
I'm tired of everybody finding it on the pirate bay or whatever and automatically assuming that it got leaked.

If you can get past the engrish here's the link:

Also, if you haven't checkout the site recently they've added in some more info on some anomalies and other miscellaneous things.
It was 3rd most powerful single core GPU out until the 5 series came out (now it's 5th) if you bothered to look at the latest benchmarks, the only other single core cards that could beat it were the GTX275 and GTX285 and even then, in the latest benchmarks the GTX275 is starting to trail behind the 4890 in alot of titles and that's not even when the 4890 is overclocked, i'm able to OC mine to 1Ghz core without problems which puts it just behind a GTX285. !:downs:!

Also wow, just noticed the date he posted that.

Rated myself late.

Well it was out in the Motherland :ussr:
before its rls date. I just finally got around to fixing router so it doesn't shit on usenet.
So I felt like posting a friendly hey guys its out go play.
Also Wine doesn't like it going to try and use winetricks and see if I can get it running.
I really don't want to install windows right now.
Tentative release schedule is:
Russia: October 2009
Germany: November 2009
Worldwide: Q1 2010
The game can out Oct. 2 in Russia and will probably be out mid-November in Germany. Rumors say that February 12th is when CoP comes out in the rest of the world, but that hasn't been officially confirmed.
There's already a Google translated English-patch out for it but it's REALLY poorly done. If you're patient you should wait for the official English release. The game itself is way above CS and even on par with, if not better than, ShoC. From what I've heard the ending is nothing short of amazing and freeplay after the storyline is great. Those ~70 or so "hand made" side quests are quality.
its spelled Pripyat.
and I think it will run on my computer, pretty much the same requirements as Shadow of Chernobyl.
Botched .net installer laughs in the face of Wine and Ubuntu. I guess a windows install is a necessary evil for gaming.
Also Dx11 Compute shaders are their any benchmarks, or does it implement them?
Also I hate that I buy dx10 gpu only crysis and witcher use it.
Now dx11 comes out tessellation makes [sp]Real circles!![/sp] Yes it needed spoilers its that important.
Which leads to why you add cool stuff every Dx iteration I get late.
Edit: Sidenote though not real circles their good enough for me.
Also going to buy this the day it comes out. Those poor russian developers in a world of giant game developers need support. If you pirate this game now and don't buy it later I will have to kill you.
Well, I'm at the part where you [sp]get some stalkers together to go to Pripyat[/sp]
What the hell was up with Clear Sky being so poorly optimized?
This better not be like that.
Shadow of Chernobyl ran great on my PC and as soon as I loaded up CS it shat itself to death.

Does it run better than CS?
Id say yes, and the stability is way ahead of it's predecessors. Hasn't crashed not once yet.

I saved that guy and he gave me his Bear detector :D
It seems when I climb up the ladder from the sewers to pripyat, it crashes when the game loads pripyat. Does anybody else the have same problem? Are there any fixes?
The game is out already?
Just finished downloading it, it's definitely awesome. I can't even understand what the hell is going on because people are shouting at me in russian and google translator is really shitty but it is still awesome
I really love Stalker, but it scares the shit outta me. D:

That looks really amazing. The graphics are better than Crysis, atmosphere wise, it looks more like it should.

Shit, that looks great. The only thing that irked me was that ungodly shine on the shotgun while he was reloading it, and the fact that he peppered a bandit from point blank with an assault rifle and he barely staggered forward.

Well if the damage was accurate to real life, then you probably die quite often. Even on Easy mode.
But one shot to the head will usually put them down.

Then the logical thing to do is to *GASP* not die.
I really hope it has Coop.

System requirements:
Minimum System Requirements
* Intel Pentium 4 2.0 Ghz / AMD XP 2200+
* 512 MB RAM
* 128 MB DirectX 8.0 compatible card / nVIDIA GeForce 5700 / ATI Radeon 9600
It's a lie, I have P4 2.93ghz, 2GB of DDR-333mhz RAM, and a ATi Radeon x1300 and it runs like shit on all lowest.
Also the weapons sound like toys
Tip for playing Stalker on max settings: buy more RAM.
