Also I agree with you on the movie.

I can run original on full, and then I don't know what it is about CS, but the opening level makes my PC shit itself. This is a Crysis playing rig I'll add.

I've been to STALKER-Fest, which was dedicated to release of this game. You could play at test zone there. Maybe you'd be interested, I can dig up pictures I took (there were real lot of people there, every 7th dressed up in STALKER style). Hmm, I wonder why the english version comes out at Q1 2010, and the german one at the 5th November this year.

What I don't get is why are they not focusing a bit on the Americans? A Q1 2010 release is just bullshit, I want this game now.

Some settings lowered a bit, enhanced dynamic lighting, no AA. Crysis ran barely 20fps on 1280x1024, too scared to try on new screen.

Everyone is talking about Pripyat. I'm still in the swamp area even though I just started the game earlier and have only played about 2 hours or so. This game is just simply awesome I wish there was english voices because I have no idea what happened to the helicopters except for the first on because it had subtitles for some reason.

You guys are spoiling things up, you should wait for the real English version, and chances are that the English version will be a higher version since it's months away, unless the master copy is ready to go and they're only holding things up because there are "bigger" games coming in America and they don't want Call of Pripyat to clash with them, it was released in Russia early maybe because no other good games would come out there this year, who knows, it's usually a question of money after all. In any case, you guys spoiled it up.

Why do they need all that time to translate it to English... The voice recordings on their own can't possibly take that long and the text translation would take a single person a week at most to translate the whole thing plus double and triple check it, I've messed about with stalkers text language files.

That alone will take almost a month. The text part ain't that easy either, they require actual Russians who are very fluent in English to redo the text files. This has to be done for other languages such as German aswell. The entire process takes much longer than a couple of weeks. It takes 1 week just to dub 1 20-minute anime episode.

Another big factor is all the games coming out this christmas season. Such as kiddy warfare 2 and a few other big games which will kill Stalker's profit if it gets released then. So they are waiting for the big christmas competition to end then sell and reach the masses.

Is Sidorovich in Call of pripyat?
