Considering they did write and make the original song, and the person who made the remix only edited it then yeah, they can.
Your steam profile link is messed up, your are supposed to get a custom URL, and then only put the last bit on facepunch, not the whole URL.
That isn't the same thing. Fixed: You had a book, added annotations, sold it, then the publishers got a hold of it and reprinted it with your annotations.
No other site then facepunch works for me atm, so could you please google: can I claim copyright on an edit of someone else's work?
I have no clue, I'm actually interested in who legally owns what, though. It just doesn't seem right, to me, if Rockstar were to claim ownership of it. Myth might not be able to say they own the modded part of it, but neither can Rockstar.

Myth definitely owns the Logo that is still present in the crack, regardless of the code.
Shouldn't this count as copyright infringement?
Myth created that .exe and now it's being sold through steam :v:
No technicaly myth just altered the game's files that were created by rockstar there as it is still rockstars property.
only saw it once... does it offend your religion?
Who said anything about offending my religion? That's such a stupid post.
I want people to stop posting it because it's annoying and I see it in like 75% of the threads.

Is the original patch a replacement EXE? That would be copyright infringement, since there is still rockstar code in the executable. If Myth made a program that edited the rockstar executable and say, fixed a few strings here and there, that would be drastically more legal.
I'm scared, what if the crack has malware :ohdear:
The company is perfectly able to use a no-CD crack because they own the rights to the software and can do whatever they want with it, but the user applying a crack is breaking the law.
No one would ever persecute someone for cracking a game, but this does not diminish the fact that it is illegal. I still don't give a shit.
Makes sense, look at bully PC, look at GTA IV PC, now look at this...
their PC team is made of lazy asses.
No-CD cracks are included in all pirated versions of retail games. How do you think you're able to play them without owning them? It's common sense.
I've bought heaps of games and used a noCD crack so I don't have to bother changing the fucking CD everytime.
noCD isn't pirating, downloading the full game off the internet is. :/
Cracks are legal standing on their own WHEN they only change the bit about CD check. Get over it.
Why is this such a big deal for some people?
Because people hate Valve for some reason.
well this shows that they actually love pirates and crackers xD
