Besides, if it's anything like the original modern warfare on 360, you'll have the ability to make custom matches with friends that don't earn any XP. So quit your bitching already
Yeah, about that... How about we don't? If a PC gamer can't handle the... *cough* Server browser, because of their stupidity, said gamer should go ahead and buy a console and press one magic-do-it-all button. How about that? We want a server browser. If you want a matchmaking system, stick with the console and don't get into PC gamers' business.
that's alot of cry babies
And you care so much about them, which makes you worse.
And you care so much about them, which makes you worse.
dont reply to him, he is either a troll, a consolefan, retarded or a mix of all of them
right, because 64 players on shipment is so much fun
THIS IS WHY WE NEED SERVER LISTS. Don't want to play 128 player shipment? (Yes, it did happen) DON'T JOIN THE SERVER.
THIS IS WHY WE NEED SERVER LISTS. Don't want to play 128 player shipment? (Yes, it did happen) DON'T JOIN THE SERVER.
128 players in shipment? Oh god, that would just be a player next to player with no spaces between them. It would be like a huge moshpit with explosions and gunfire everywhere.

It would look like some civil war game, all the troops crashing in each other, can't see shit. There is a reason why are there supposed to be bigger maps.
more like, "baww i want every pc game ever to keep the same archaic system of searching for servers and changing that is stupid because i said so :("
Here we see the common "consolitis fanboyitis". This creature has the strange behavior of acting normal around humans until someone speaks about anything involving a "Personal Computer", whereupon the creature emits a stunning act of jumping upon the said person emitting strange gurgling sounds and furious clawing. The "consolitis fanboyitis" seems to live a very solitary life for the most part, but every so often it seems to gather in a mass blindly following it's herd without question. These herds sometimes migrate towards the western coast of California making their way to Silicone Valley where they mumble and foam at the mouth and are seen chewing on the Intel Corporation sign. Upon completion of their migration, they head north towards Washington where upon they amass in front of the home of philanthropist and chairman of Microsoft "Bill Gates" and begin a chanting ritual some lasting over 30 days. After the ritual the herd will break away and individuals retreat to their original homeland. These creatures are not seen again for sometime until they are awoken by another event. It is said the release of any high profile "video game" releases these episodes. During an event as such all owners of a "Personal Computer" should carry on with their daily lives but resist the urge to stare, poke, feed or mention the PC to any such creature.
Pc gamers have every right to be angry. Seeing as taking out something like dedicated servers would be the equivalent of taking away your fork when you eat. However, they are pushing the limit with all the flaming. And console fanboys aren't better than them, because they constantly piss pc gamers off. Why can't we all just, get along?

To be honest Stopping Power is too overrated of a perk in CoD4 and CoDWaW and will most likely too be in MW2.
Fair usage policies kick in with most ISPs over the world. If you start to whore bandwidth, your ISP will have to find some way to compromise with their other customers, sometimes this comes in speed limits and crap. Hence, "There is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth", you may not have a CAP, but you will get some downsides if you use a fuckton of bandwidth in one go. Or you pay to raise the limit of your fair usage (they will just turn around and ignore you if you use a lot of bandwidth so to speak). Cables and servers can only send so much and store so much data. ISPs need some way of keeping consistent speeds, otherwise they lose customers. This is going by Britain's infrastructure mind you, and most of our ISPs are shoddy.
http://bethere.co.uk impose no limit. They don't care, there are no bandwidth restrictions or charges.
It's almost as if developers are trying to kill PC gaming: They up the prices (of games and DLC). Use stupid copy-protection and other means of irritating us. Prevent the use of mods, customs skins/models etc. It's as if they think every PC gamer is a hacker/cheater/pirate.

Hopefully it isn't like in World at War that was terrible.

If they get rid of Stopping Power then they need to get rid of Juggernaut. But yeah, I hope they really overhaul the perks system and balance the guns. Some of the gun/perk combination are ridiculous.

And even though MS doesn't want to show it, they sure are trying to kill it.

I'm pretty sure that a one-time operating system would only run once. That would suck actually, you start up the computer and everything is fine. Then you turn off the computer and then when you turn the computer back on, you realize that your entire OS is gone. I would be so mad, I would probably rage at my Microsoft if it was one of those Microsoft updates that made me restart my computer to begin with.

(Or PS3 if you like having nobody to play with...)
Uhh no. First of all the OS costs ~$150-$200 or so. Just about everyone on earth uses a windows OS, and want to know the cost of producing a DVD/download for said OS? Virtually nothing in the scheme of things. That's $150-$200 of PURE PROFIT that MS gets, even with taking into consideration the few years it took to develop. By compairison, a video game that takes a few years to develop will only sell for about $50, and only sell to a niche market. But Windows sells for about 4x-5x as much as that, and it's used just about everywhere. Compare that to the xbox, which costs more for MS to make it than they sell it for. It costs labor, parts, repairs, etc to keep your xbox division running. The ONLY way MS makes money from the xbox (since it costs more to make one than they sell it for), is through their services (live, DLC, etc) and the extra $10 per game sold that goes directly to MS. It's still a profit, but it's nothing but a tiny mark compared to the profits Windows will bring them. They could have their entire xbox division crash and burn and they would be in about the same position they are currently, as far as finances go.
Mitogenesis, you seem to have misunderstood, I'm talking about money which goes to Microsoft as opposed to all costs involved for each system you pay for your operating system once. The money for a PC goes to whoever made the PC/the parts for the PC. By one-time I was referring to things you only pay for once, you don't rent an OS or buy a new one very often. However, Korjax makes some good points and I realise I'm probably wrong for the most part. Although for an Xbox you need to have the OS as well as all of the console price.
PREORDERS (not thunderbirds) ARE GO http://store.steampowered.com/app/10180/
Holy fuck it costs $60 ON STEAM. What the fuck, there is no excuse for that.
Damn it I want to buy it but I'm not sure I should because I'm worried about there not being enough players.
Why the hell is this game $60?
Why the hell is this game $60?
Because Activision wants lots of money.
So they can get more money. I'm still getting this anyways for PC. It doesn't make a difference to me. I have been playing since the original came out.
