Activision is really cashing out on this franchise...
Damn it I want to buy it but I'm not sure I should because I'm worried about there not being enough players.
There's probably going to be enough players.
I won't be buying it until A) The price comes down or B) Dedicated servers are announced.
Fuck, 60 bucks?
More expensive then L4D2. I was hoping it'd be around 40-50 mark. No cash to spend on it now

Two of the reasons I won't even get it for Christmas.
Yeah, I'd say $60 for a game that may not even have dedicated servers is a little outrageous.
Will I be able to run this? I'm fucking terrible with system requirements, and usually if I do make a guess it's off and I get 20 less frames than I want.
OS: Microsoft Windows XP or Windows Vista (Windows 95/98/ME/2000 are unsupported)
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.0 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 3200+ processor or better supported
Memory: 512MB RAM (1GB for Windows Vista)
Graphics: 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT or better or ATI Radeon 1600XT or better
Co-op/Multiplayer Hosting: To host Co-op or MP matches, a 2Ghz dual-core or better processor is recommended.
My shit:
Windows XP SP2
AMD Athlon 3500+ 2.2 GHz
2 GB buttRAM
GeForce 9500 GT
I know it's hard to say, but you guys have any idea if it will run about as good as CoD4?

Cause you're all going to buy it sooner or later for the same price.
Hell, Call of Duty 1 is still 20$, it was 20$ 3 years ago.
Getting rated dumb for saying Activision wants money?
Why else would they charge $60 for a PC game?

Ratings matter?
Ratings matter?
No, it's just that someone is angry over people saying Activison wants money so they make this $60.

Nope :3
Why pay the same price for the obsolete version of the game? This is a huge failure IMO. Fuck Infinity Ward, they won't be having anymore of my money after this travesty.
What the fuck I see $89.99 USD on the steam page and Americans see $60? I don't understand, Obviously $60 USD does not = $89 AUS so why is it so high? all that make me think is.
No thanks I'll pass.

So anybody preorder it cause i am not reading 42 pages cause i did preorder it for a console
I preordered it for the 360. Can't waittttttttttt
I think I'll wait and see how the situation unfolds itself.
Hopefully they'll maximise the 2 weeks leading up to the release to actually do something about it, instead of lying about it.
I preordered it for the 360. Can't waittttttttttt
You are now my preorder buddy and what will IW do for preorder players except for that shitty sweepstakes i preordered it for my 360 as well
As soon as I saw that it was $60 on steam, I about shit a brick. I knew it didn't have dedicated servers, but it's 60$ for a digital copy of a game (which doesn't come with a manual, box, or physical copy)? Fuck that.
You can take your money and shove it up your ass Activision.

WTF
When I saw the update news, I thought because I am in Australia it meant $89.99 AUD, which is about what most new releases cost.
Then I opened it up, and it says $89.99 USD, which is absolutely ridiculous. No way I'm buying this.
MW2 really needs a huge boycott. They're just making a half ass console port and then they've even jacked up the price.
I used to like them, but now, wow. This is really, really pathetic.
If this game is a success it will be a new low for game developers AND the stupid sons of bitches who bought it.
I've got this pre-ordered too.

Yes, $90 is the average for a new release in Australian store not steam, I use steam to get away from ridiculous prices, not a chance in hell I'm going to pay over $80 for a steam game.

That's why I was pissed off about it. Retail games are about $90 AUD, then MW2 on Steam is $90 USD, doesn't come with a disc, box, manual or anything.
It's just ridiculous. As if the lack of dedicated servers and mod support was enough of a slap to the face.
I will wait for the christmas sales. If the price remains the same on christmas, FUCK YOU IW.

Nop, I am not going to. I will borrow it from a friend, or in worst case, from the internet, but in no way I am paying full price for this shit.
And this is where Infinity Ward sees its release profits fall in the millions.
