I'm thinking about possibly buying this. Is the subscription fee really worth it? I mean, I'd much rather play through the game without having to pay a subscription fee, but if there's a huge difference when you pay for it, then I guess I'll have to. Basically I'm asking how much you actually get from paying.
There's no subscription fee anymore, nor will there ever be.
Oh, I read
Global Agenda works two ways. You can purchase the full game for $40 off of Steam, or order it online from the HiRez store. After that, you get on and create your character and the likes, etc. Currently, all parts of the game are free, until the launch of Sandstorm (read: Patch 1.3). After then, Conquest will become a pay-to-play portion of the game, as well as some minor features such as crafting. The subscription fee is $12.99.
And thought he meant that they re-added it or something.
Anyone read 1.37 patch notes? I think they´re awesome.
I wonder who won RPS' contest for game keys, I mean, I typed up a three paragraph tongue in cheek story, and they're sending out the keys now, so who knows.

Alright, so, I've been playing the Trial for most of yesterday, and I've got some questions. I'm sorry if these have already been answered before, as I am too lazy to sift through 30+ pages. 1. How many people play this? Is the game crowded? Or is The Dome empty on occasion? 2. Are there retail copies (physical CD copies) of the game available for purchase at say, my local GameStop, or BestBuy? 3. When you purchase the full game, do you get to keep your characters from when you played the Trial version? I had more questions, but most of them were answered when I read above that there is no subscription fee. (Or was this information false?) If I decide to get this game, I'm going to need someone to teach me how to be a good Medic.
1) Populated game. 2) http://www.amazon.com/Global-Agenda-Pc/dp/B0030GYXYA/ 3) Yes

You don't need anyone because learning this game is easy.
If I decide to get this game, I'm going to need someone to teach me how to be a good Medic.
Don't think you're a fighter, firstly. Medics seem to think they should attack first and heal later. Biofeedback beam (the first medi-gun you get) is the best, don't use anything else. Don't cling to one assault, spread your healing around. AoE heals are really useful. Really useful.
Thank you for the information, I'll have to call GameStop, see if they have it, and gather some stuff I don't play. I seem to already be a good Medic then, aside from using the BioFeedback Gun, I'll have to repurchase that.
For a good medic in PVP, run pain gun, biofeedback, and AoE healing offhands. Generally my setup for offhands is healing wave, regen and prot wave. Regen comes in handy for running away from a fight in case your assault is overwhelmed. Generally speaking, pain gun ONLY if you've got an assault or two in front of you, and it's an enemy of equal or more value (i.e. an assault or medic, never a recon or robo, waste of time). Use AoE heals when in large groups, especially prot wave if you keep it on deck. Best way to use it would be as an attacker, then you prot and drop onto the point. Defensively, heal the fuck out of the assaults around you. Don't stick to just one. Also, if I finish off my AP work for the long weekend today, I've got the rest of the weekend to relax. This gives me potential time to play Global Agenda. I might hop onto test and try out the achievement patch, or just level my assault.

I'll just be playing the Trial for awhile, and better my skills for now.

However, it's online order only.

Sell something else, or B: Try my luck in the Gift Giving thread by offering to buy someone a PSN card, or Xbox Live Points/Live Time, in return for GA.
I like that they are actually fixing their game quite well after release
So, now that there isn't a monthly fee, how good is this game? It looks really interesting, would it be worth getting? I've never been much of an MMO player, but I love shooters. [editline]right now[/editline] Oh, there's a demo. :v: Downloading now.

The game is actually really good. It's a bit difficult getting a team up, especially when you an anti-social fag like me, but when you do, it is awesome. My chaps and I did a few rounds in PvE missions, and now we're gonna make the best god damn 4 man agency in the world. Fuck yeah.

Fun game, I haven't played it in a little bit personally. But it is enjoyable.
Worth the cash, definitely. I've not had the time to play it recently, but I'd have to say that it's really fun. Also, picked up SC2 today to bide my time. I feel like I just wasted $60, but then again, I don't have all the time in the world to play it. I really would just be better off with a handheld system for now. I'm seriously considering ordering a new PSP battery and some games off of Amazon to bide my time with.
Yep, it's worth the cash now, maybe it wasn't back when it was released because it wasn't really a full game but they've been releasing more and more content, and they'll continue to do so.
Just played the trial for 2 hours. This game is awesome! I'll definitely buy it as soon as I can. Being a Robotics is lots of fun. I set up little bases in the junkyard with a turret and a health station, then just got all the kills I needed. When I buy the game I wont need to redo the starting missions right?
Nope, you can just carry on with your character normally.
Alright awesome.
Is there any reason I stopped gaining xp from anything with just 1 left to level 13? I'm on the trial if that matters.
Yeah, it stopped at 3999/4000 for me and I'm at level 12, happened on two different characters to boot, I guess that's the limit. Doesn't really matter to me, I'll gather loot from Merc Missions until I get the game on Thursday.
Yeah, twelve is the cap for trial members. It's an unlimited trial, but there's a level cap. Feel free, as Psycho said, to gather up gear until you purchase the full game. I myself have been feeling rather lackluster towards my romance with Global Agenda, but then again, I haven't had time for it. Probably because I've been exhausted from school, and it's no-fap September for me.
I think it's misleading that the Steam Description says you can play up to level 15. :downs: My only qualm I've found is that all characters on your account share credits and ...tokens?... But then again, you get money pretty fast in just Merc matches. Offtopic @ SystemGS: Why have a no-fap month? It's an excellent stress reliever after that shitty day at school/work. I mean, unless you're one of those people who get disgusted with yourself immediately afterward, then I understand. :v:
I used to play this before, and just got back into it. How much has sandstorm changed the game?
Not really. There's a new area though.
Oh. Ok then. I forgot how much fun this game is.
