It's a matter of taste i guess. I really enjoy MMOs with a good combat. I love leveling up, getting new stuff etc. I hate grind in usual MMOs thou. GA gives me an opportunity to still have those fun MMO aspects without grinding (you CAN grind but you don't have to, only playing PvP works perfectly too).

Short summary on my Complete Class Guide (it got stickied on the forums :D)
Medic:
1. Pick a friendly target.
2. Hold Left Mouse Button until tired.
3. Hold Right Mouse Button a little bit.
4. When tired use an off-hand.
5. goto 1
Assault:
1. Pick an enemy target.
2. Hold Left Mouse Button until tired.
3. Hold Right Mouse Button a little bit.
4. When tired use an off-hand.
5. goto 1
Robo:
1. Pick an empty corner.
2. Use an off-hand.
3. Wait until it gets destroyed.
4. goto 1
Recon:
1. Log-In.
2. Delete your Recon.
3. Create another class.
4. Enjoy the game.

I played Global Agenda way back before that update that released a new PvP zone that had a little persistence in it... Is there any gameplay like that now?
Say Team A is in one spawn spot that's safe, Team B is in spawn point B that's safe, (And anyone can just port into these zones at will) and they can just at will run into a large PvP zone, and then run back to safety later to have a small rest, eat a sandwhich, whatever, then head back out?
Or is it all still just Wait in line for a single timed instance,
and how much of this content is subscription based? Steam says you get all the content with one purchase, but the OP says Crafting and Conquest is Sub based

OP is outdated.
Any decent, AvA active agencies recruiting? I'd love to get back into this over the Christmas holiday, but merc pvp and pve got boring a while ago. Main is a 33 assault, but I got a 21 medic that I like to play sometimes.

Everything is free, buying the game is only requirement.

Sorry but no proper AvA agency will use a <50 unless it's a pug team. You'd better level up.
If you really want to find one, I suggest you use Agency Center and send applications to different agencies.

How active is this? I remember playing in the trial thing and if I wanted to play some of the larger games then I had to join US servers. Luckily the ping wasn't too bad.

It's pretty active, but since there's a class limit recons and robos now have to wait longer for matches though.

It's active. You'll have no problems finding a match within 5 minutes unless you're a Recon.

Robos are also overpopulated, thankfully they're actually useful unlike 99% of recons
I like Recon, Played my first PvP match with him about 20 minutes ago since I just hit level 10... It was the 3 points, hold 2 to gain points type of map. Got #1 with 15 kills, lots of damage and healing... Those personal turrets are nice
This game is just like Mass Effect with TF2 type multiplayer
Is this better than when it was first released. I remember just clicking on an enemy and it would turn and shoot at them.

Try Medic. Every group needs medics, and you can go Combat and do DoT poison damage like mad, with a little healing on the side
Has the game had any major improvements since it was first released?
I remember trying it when it was very new and there was no action. You would simple click on an enemy to engage a fight.

Uhhh really? I'm no veteran but I remember gameplay videos from even early beta had proper shooting mechanics.

Go Medic, they're very versatile. You can either be a life-saver and receive lots and lots of credit or a death machine capable of killing everyone who's not connected to a MedBox.
Think i saw possibly the worst medic ever today, claimed he could solo this course, he got out ran straight in and died. he then carried on leaving us behind to clear out the people with no support and once it came to the boss he wouldnt heal us at all.
i get you can try to be an offensive medic, but a medic is a medic and needs to heal.
