man I wish I could get back into this game
I had a high level Robotics with an awesome agency a while ago (sometime in june I think)
but I got bored of GA after a while, the whole free-roam update etc. rolled around, and I still couldn't be bothered to get back into it
I really want to get back into it, truly, but by now I'm probably kicked out of my agency (was a small one), and, well, the members of the agency were really the only people that kept all of my gear intact and repaired :(
Wanted to buy on Steam with the new deal going down but before I hit purchase I had a question.
I'm getting a bit confused on whether or not there is any subscription as I see the words free strung everywhere but the OP says something about the 1.3 patch that made part of the game mechanics P2P. Is this still in affect or have plans changed?

I just managed to kill the Warlord and get "cured", and now there is nothing left to do. I was hoping for more quests. Guess all i can do now is play Merc and whatnot. I'm not in an alliance yet.

The OP is outdated, the game used to have a subscription but it is now 100% free after the initial purchase.

Don't worry, I know exactly how you all feel. I'm going to try medic and robotics. My good friend got the game too, he said he's going to play assault or robotics.

Think world of warcraft style questing - go here, kill x, return, get loot. Some of the missions are actually quite challenging though.

I even resorted to latin words and spanish words and they are still all taken.

Yeah no matter what I type in, it says it is in the record and being used. So how am I suppose to make an account now? Did I just waste 7 bucks?

I'm surprised "CowThing" wasn't taken. Keep trying, the game is great and since there's no monthly fees it's even better.
Do we have a FP agency? If so, invite RevProtocol (double meaning because I'm a reverend + my web design business is reVisual Design :v:)

Considering buying this. How does recon play? I like the whole stealth thing but I don't particularly like sniping. I know Melee is viable but I don't like relying on them, are SMG's viable at all?

Most recons tend to go sniping, but harassing people with melee + bombs can be really effective and great for generally fucking people up.

Ok I ended up getting everything working alright, just waiting for game to download. Are there an Agencies for Facepunch or one being used by members here?
