That's what you get for being a Recon. Hint: Pick a useful class instead.
You know my main class is assault, right? I just play recon for the hell of it between AVA. I dont need money/anything so I just play recon and bomb shit up.
first time i tried a pvp match i didnt die a single time, sniped like a boss
That's exactly what makes Recons think that they're useful.
Anyone need codes? The game is £6.49 for the weekend and I have some 50% off codes bringing it down to £3.25
I dont know if OP does this, but if you want you can just PM him and he might put it up in the thread. Again, I have no idea if he still does this.
Is there an active FP community anymore? I know the agency is long dead, but I mean do we keep in touch ingame? I dunno. Global Agenda was boring to me because it was so LONELY. All my agencymates were doing something else or couldn't help me or were too low level for me, and since I'm a 33-ish assault, life sucks.

I personally stopped playing Global Agenda a while ago since there's nothing left for me to do there. I'm probably going to resub (buy a booster and start playing) when 1.4 patch comes out, there'll be a lot more players then.
Last summer I went and toured their studios with my camp. We got to play a dev build and fuck around, but one of the devs got on and made herself godded, huge, and very powerful. She went around and murdered us all. I also found some guy standing in midair wearing nothing but boxers. The dev build was very buggy, but it was alright. I wouldn't pay for it though. I'm sure the full game isn't like that build, but it was still fun for all of us to try to gang up and murder people. We'd end up sending everyone to rush in and murder some huge spider thing. It was kinda funny. Turns out, they have a command called /obama that gave them 100 million. We laughed about that. They said it was named after the 'stimulus plan.' I got a poster from it, but they wouldn't sign it..

I am still stuck with the gear you got before Sandstorm and stuff, and it's pretty much impossible to kill anything with it.
I am still stuck with the gear you got before Sandstorm and stuff, and it's pretty much impossible to kill anything with it.
If you play anything at all you'll get new gear.
I'm pretty well sure I'm gonna buy this today, and I'm just wondering.. Do people still play this? Is it usually easy to find matches and such?
I'm pretty well sure I'm gonna buy this today, and I'm just wondering.. Do people still play this? Is it usually easy to find matches and such?
Honestly it's kind of in a slump right now and can take 5+ minutes sometimes to get a match if you don't play prime US/EU time, but Patch 1.4 should be coming in a week or two and it's adding new content, revamped maps, revamped Demolition game mode, and revamped Skill Trees for all 4 classes which will bring tons of people back in.
Honestly it's kind of in a slump right now and can take 5+ minutes sometimes to get a match if you don't play prime US/EU time
I'm not sure what you're talking about since queues has always been 5 minutes long...at least.
i heard you get pet wolves in patch 1.4, oh wai-
Most people switched from Steam to Hi-Rez Launcher and Retail buyers doesn't even get Steam version.
Whats the difference in launchers?
Whats the difference in launchers?
Steam is bigger, Hi-Rez Launcher has some specific GA options. Nothing major.
I downloaded from steam but bought from the hirez site, so steam says I've played 120 hours of the demo :v: [editline]4th April 2011[/editline]
i heard you get pet wolves in patch 1.4, oh wai-
And the banecroft co. store where you can buy hats :v:
Global Agenda to Adopt Free-to-Play Model Mid-April "Free Agent" Update Delivers New Content and Unlimited Play For FreeImage ATLANTA - April 7, 2011 -- Hi-Rez Studios today announced that "Global Agenda: Free Agent", the latest update to the Shooter MMO, will enable free-to-play access to all of the game's current playable content and levels with no purchase required. The version 1.4 Free Agent update, expected to go live in mid-April, will support free play across all character classes through level 50. This update also introduces a new Dome Defense Raid as high-level player content, a CTF- style Mercenary PvP game-mode with pilotable robots, revised skill-trees across all four character classes, and other changes and content. For an optional one-time purchase of $19.99 USD (£13.99 GBP, €15.99 EUR), players may upgrade to Elite Agent status, which will accelerate the rate of earning character Imagelevels, gear, and currency and also grant access to premium features such as the login priority, auction house and in-game mail. All players that have previously purchased Global Agenda will be automatically upgraded to Elite Agent status. "Global Agenda has never required a monthly subscription to play and, for a while now, we have offered a generous free trial for the game." said Todd Harris, Hi-Rez Studios COO. "Our experience with the limited free trial has demonstrated to us the great demand among free-to-play gamers for a AAA-quality Shooter MMO like Global Agenda. We believe this latest change will further broaden the game's popularity and appeal." "With this change, we allow players to experience all of the game's current content and levels for free. We've done this in a way that ensures that free players do not have to spend real money to compete on a level playing field with those who do, while still rewarding those loyal players and fans that have purchased the game or otherwise supported the game." will the old players notice an EXP gain change? or is it lowered for the free players? before i got around 1k XP per won merc mission. now, do free players get 500 XP and premiums get 1k still, or 1k and premium players get 2k XP?
[editline]7th April 2011[/editline] 4x XP and extra "l33t" loot for oldschoolers, neat.
Nope, if you read the FAQ it's the exact same and the Elite loot is the item you normally get at the end of the mission. Essentially free players get half XP + half credits and no item at the end of the mission.
Ah, i see. Well still, being a veteran feels good. Love that game.
I can't wait for queues to not take 5 minutes! Might be the first time I'll ever see triple digits on a class
It's funny because I was trying the GA demo today and thought "Meh, it's alright, but I don't want to spend $30 on it right now". *Check Facepunch MMOs forum and read GA thread* Oh boy.
Golly, Hi-Rez is really nice. I remember back when I first saw that game I was disappointed there was a monthly fee, so I didn't buy it. But then they removed the monthly fee and I bought it immediately.
So I got like 10 coupons for the "Global Agenda Store". I'm probably never going to use it, so if anyone wants a coupon just PM me.
no item at the end of the mission.
Wow that sucks for them. Does that mean they can only use white gear? Other than sonoran rewards and merc vendor stuff.
