Tactics and teamwork haven't existed since the beta :colbert:
Game was best in alpha imo.
Hows the game these days?
Haven't played in ages.

This is my personal opinion but,
I'm really disappointed in GA 1.4, it was an awesome Tactical TPSMMO and now it's fucking Call of Agenda.
[editline]1st May 2011[/editline]
I guess that mindless derping around the map without any strategy is more popular than using the fucking brain and that's the reason they made it so.
Now all my hopes are in Tribes Universe.
Getting on a good AVA team helps.... A lot....

Been there, done that.
The problem is that your agency doesn't really progress anywhere, unless they start combining their teams with another agency.
Your average Agency will always steamroll newbies like iCUGaming and will always get steamrolled by veterans like Mercenaries.

In Blacklance, so I do not really have the problem. We place around fourth normally and several times we have almost pulled out a third. Cynosure and Enmity seem to hold a grudge against us at the moment. Our allies are 162ndSED, arete and Tsunami.
Guess I am lucky

To be honest I never heard any of those names, must be pretty new agencies...or less known US or PAC agencies.

I see/hear about 162ndSED a lot.
most agencies just whore players, i've never found one i'd be interested in joining
i need some people to play with in missions because i keep getting owned.
steam updated global agenda. but its a lame update... that was only 2 GB for some reason...

General Play Experience:
Steam users may now purchase Elite Agent Status upgrades and boosters inside of the game using their Steam wallet. To access, hit ESC and then choose Global Agenda Store.
Players may now add time to existing boosters by purchasing a new booster (previously, you could not purchase additional time until your current booster expired).
Several improvements to the End of Mission screen and functionality
Small Tutorial and Quest-chain fix-ups to improve the new-player experience.

Words Facepunch and Active sort of works together, Facepunch and AvA don't.
This game is great, I don't want this thread to die. :frown:
It's heavily WIP, but it's really fun and I recommend you all to try it out yourself.
Just bought it.

Same here.
I was really enjoying this game for the first week. Afterwards, It got boring. I've still got in installed on my PC though, I might give it another try and redeem my love for this game again.
I didn't know there was a thread for this game, I play it too, I'm a lvl 23 robotic.
This went F2P a while ago, probably gonna sign in to my old trial character if I can.
I'm not sure about this. The new cash shop stuff seems really dumb.
This game has really gone down the drain.
I used to love it but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone now.
I would say it's at least 10x better than it was at release.
Has a proper place for new players to start: The desert is endlessly more exciting than grinding your first 15 levels in Low-Sec.
Raids are cool - end of story.
You can actually find people to play against in 4v4 arena due to the timers they added on special gamemodes.
When you put some time into your character the game gets heaps more rewarding.

Agree BUT, It's starting to take the same route as TF2 except that it's F2P now, which is even worse.
I'm not blaming Hi-Rez, they're doing it because they need funding to develop Tribes Universe which I'm oh so excited for.

I'm talking much more short term, specifically these last few updates pushing the game in the cash shop direction.
Considering you still have to get elite agent if you want to do nearly anything, with the cash shop system I feel kind of cheated as an actual buyer of the game.
I'll probably give it another go, but today it really pissed me off to log on expecting some cool stuff and getting shafted with this agenda points bullshit.
I was also getting massive lag, and the influx of free agents has started to flow into the 30+ merc now, meaning my shitty team was getting steamrolled every match.

What do you mean by this exactly?
This game has really gone down the drain.

i dont see whats wrong with it.
it has more players.
it has a cash shop. AND you can buy most of the stuff in the cash shop with those PVP tokens.
other than that its pretty much the same as before with a few item events (like the t-rex head event)

It has more shitty players that can't play at all. Queues are bloated with Recons, now at an extreme degree. No level limit on Free Players means that not even 30+ will be safe from griefers and retards.
Also, GA doesn't have any cash shop since you can't actually buy tokens for cash. That's the way shops were since forever.
I really enjoy playing this game.

Actually.... You can now buy many items and flair using real life money. OC weapons cost $15 and such, but the most expensive thing is the second troll helmet flair. Something like $50.
