The Fallout 3 wiki has lots of interesting info and little things even the most observant person might miss. I also like to read up on the Doom Wiki. For me at least, its got all kinds of neat stuff.
Fallout 3 wiki or nothing at all.
If I've beaten a game I usually do, but if it's something gameplay-wise (location of objects etc.) I'll only use it as a last resort. I view it as cheating same as walkthroughs. I like looking at them for the lore though.
I do too much. I knew every quest and how to do them in Fallout 3 before I bought the game. :frown:
Bulbapedia, Dwarf Fortress Wiki
I do when I really get into a game and want background information I missed. Did this with fo 3, deadspace, oblvivion, halo, and a few others. The more serious writing also puts the events in game in a more serious context. For instance; if you shoot some guy or complete a mission, you may not be thinking of the long term effects that may have on the world. While in the wiki you're all like "Yeah, I did that:.
I like to going on'em before I buy a game, it gives you the idea of how big the game is.
I do, both before and after I buy the game.
All the time, especially for MP games with vague weapon stats like Call of Duty.
When the story of a game is of interest to me, I look it up to get all the details filled in. But I also go there just to fill in some empty spots and look up stuff for games like fallout 3.
I go to the Fallout Wiki, Elderscrolls, Bulbapedia, Minecraft, and the Lostpedia regularly.
the Fallout Wiki is probably the best out there, so much info.
I go to the WH40K wiki and play DOW, but I don't really think that counts.
I contribute quite a lot to the Stalker wikia.
yeah, i have been checking the CoD wiki for the Pack-a-Punch version of weapons in nazi zombies
I made one for Just Cause 2, specifically modding. Sadly, not many people use it.
Usually the only thing I do when I go on Wikias is try and find the trivia and stuff about levels of games.
Games like Demon's Souls or Monster Hunter, yes.
Yeah, I find it interesting I also do the same for new bands I discover I like to know about them. Who they are, their history, inspiration, etc.
runewiki all the time when I'm in trouble with something
Their great to learn about technical stuff that goes on in the game that help out alot.
Yes. Especially FO3 and Mass Effect.
The Elder Scrolls Wiki is amazing. http://www.uesp.net/
This. It has info on pretty much everything. It's useful when you get stuck on quests and when you try to find items, it even has maps that show you where all the boss chests are.
The Monster Hunter Wikia is endlessly useful.
yeah i use them alot. The uesp wiki helped me alot when i played through the imperial legion quests
I use Fallout 3 wiki and UESP Wiki quite frequently. I also use the Valve Developer Community, which is a very useful wiki when making maps in Hammer.
You can find very useful stuff on wikis, so yes.
I use the mass effect one and the call of duty one When the "cool cats" aren't raiding and vandalizing it
STALKER wiki is unfortunately lacking but i use it Also i use TF2 Wiki almost daily
All the time, to find info on the game that I wouldn't discover any other way.
