Hate Spike is wayyyy better now, and a nuke with 105% AS buff on AD Eve is real terror

What the jesus. I was playing ziggs on a smurf in a coop vs ai, and I had a lichbane. Decided to sell that for rabadons + 5 archangels. What was odd is that I did 560-620 physical damage to towers, inhibs, and the nexus every auto, even when my passive was on cool down (which added 560 MAGIC damage ontop of the physical). What? Why?

For me Eve's new passive is the bonus mana regen, nothing else.

they buffed every aspect of him and didn't even nerf his laning much at all, and arguably the bonus damage more than makes up for the sustain nerfs.
at least this one patch will be fun.

Being able to pass through wards is really useful for ganking though

graves passive gives him 30 armor and MR at 18 when its fully stacked, caitlyn's passive at 18 requires 6 shots to do 150% damage (3 shots if standing in brush.)
Her passive just doesn't synergize well with an AD carry kit. Her traps are good though and she's pretty good for ambushes

No, just fucking stupid. Hey, let's nerf a perfectly balanced champion because when he goes top he (gasp) actually counters bullshit heroes like Riven. And he can "shut down" the AD carry at the small price of ABANDONING HIS ENTIRE TEAM (this is assuming the enemy team is totally retarded and doesn't have any peels at all and the AD carry can't position themselves and doesn't carry flash).
He's gonna be weak as shit. Yeah, his ult is good. That's because it's a fucking ULTIMATE. The AoE is decent sized but god damn it's not that huge and only a team of idiots who would lose to any hero would all get caught in it.
Morello bitches on the forums all the time about how we need to "change the meta, think of stuff in a new light" and when someone finally figures out how to use older, previously unused heroes to counter the meta and force players to think differently, they get nerfed to the ground.
I guess that's what we get when the lead balance designer is 1300 elo.

since it revolved around 3 or more ad heroes usually, malphite was a great counter to this, but nerfed anyways because he's a decent counter to AD heavy teams

Malphite was seriously one of my favourite heroes.
I played him Jungle. I played him 0 CS support lane bot when my friend went cait (say what you want about that strategy, we did well with it). I played him mid as an AP. I played him top. A few games I even went AD carry Malphite and it worked like a charm.
But the AD reduction and armour scaling on that E were what made him Malphite.

Malphite seriously did/does need nerfs. I was abusing him a few months before this whole fad started, and if the enemy team picks three attack damage champions, they're fucked and you win. Now the problem is that EVERYONE plays him, and we've discovered that, as the game goes on, Malphite just gets tankier and tankier and your team relies on your AD carry more and more. In the long run, your AD carry is now worthless as fuck compared to theirs because each time there's a team fight, a giant hulk of rock screams through the atmosphere right at them, drops a truckload of debuffs on them (Hope you enjoy having -82% attack speed!), and they can rarely peel away.
Not to mention with just a Frozen Heart you could maintain his Ground Slam's debuff almost indefinitely, which is ridiculous.

Yeah you're right you really opened my eyes to the fact that picking three AD heroes and losing against a champion whose sole purpose is to counter AD heroes is just broken.
I now agree with you that Riven should be insta-win top and the meta should never ever ever change. What is an AP hero against armor stacking? What is positioning? What are assassins? Who is Lee Sin (60% AS slow as opposed to 50%)?
