an ashe-graves fight would most likely go like this ashe tries to ult graves, graves presses e, whoa dodged graves presses w to make ashe 100% useless then q+r, and you have one dead ashe

just played a singed vs singed top lane shit was so intense that I didn't notice it was already lategame. we won because they decided it was a good idea to focus me because enemy singed flung me into their team. (multiple times)

[editline]19th July 2012[/editline] Yeah Ashe is amazing with her CC and slows but damagewise she's probably the most underwhelming. She's still my favourite AD carry to play with but Graves has a lot more damage and (more importantly) a gorilla with a keyboard could play him well, which is why everyone uses him.

A passive which let her trade, a Hate Spike which didn't push the lane? A stealth that didn't suck? Now she's forced into the jungle. She has to rush a Wriggle's to sustain/clear, which means she can't get a Sheen until much later (which was most of her early damage output) She can't lane anymore. Enemies get a free Oracles, and 40g will stop ganks in bottom lane. Everyone complained to me before that she was useless because she was countered by Oracles, and now you don't even need one of those. Her damage output is about the same. The only thing I like about the new Eve is her new Ult and her ability to break slows, but that isn't much. Ult is mitigated easily, and since you're forced to jungle as the new Eve, you're not going to be building penetration any time soon.

fed so hard that i fell out of my chair after realizing my score lmao and new eve is better for top lane than old. her E basically is a nuke + insane steroid, lets her trade better and hate spike used to push the lane as well, this one moreso, but it's range is longer

To trade in top you also need defense. Her passive was great because minions meant fuck all Ravage has less base but better scale. This means nothing on Top Eve because you're rushing Sheen, not AD/AP. Extra ASPD means nothing; you don't get your slow until 6, and good luck trying to get the jump on them when they can see you wherever you are in lane. The new Hate Spike is garbage for trading. Only better if you're getting a gank and you're sure you can get a kill.

Rilez, I respect the fact that you are within the minority who enjoyed the old Eve, I really do. I'm glad you were able to make her out to be something viable in your games, but unfortunately the majority usually prevails when it comes to opinions on game designing. The new Eve is generally seen to be much better, and much more viable. If you think she's bad now, then it's time to move on to another champion because insisting the old one is better is just pointless.

Rilez you really need to stop with this post-nerf pre-rework Eve touting. She was shit, plain and simple. There was absolutely no reason to EVER pick her because everybody did a better job of it. Why are you so hung up on old Eve being better?
