Ranked is so fun when you don't have a full retard team.
We did have a mentally challenged Nunu who kept on taking my farm top when I was vlad.
lol
you can easily raise your elo by playing Hecarim
Hi blueplastic how has your day been
[editline]29th July 2012[/editline]
also how was your time off during the ban
If you are in low elo you belong there, there is nothing special about you which makes you get terrible players on your team compared to the other team. If you are a higher elo then you currently are you will win your lane therefore have a higher chance of winning the game therefore you will eventually get out of that bracket.
winning your lane means fuck all if all the others lanes are failing
which is very very likely
That is such bullshit.
I win my lane with Ahri almost every single game I play, I always ward, I always gank when the time is right and I always have the least deaths on my team.
Yet if I was to guess my win percentage with Ahri then it would be around ~30-40% I'd say.
If you play good but can't carry a team of 4 retards it doesn't mean that you belong in low elo.
(this is normal game stats but whatever)
It is common sense if your elo is lower then it should be, you win your lane, have higher chance to win the game, you win more then you loose your elo goes up.

of course you can't win every game, but if you keep winning your lane, you will eventually raise your elo.

I had a feeling that spell will have some problems
Diana gains 20% additional attack speed. Every third strike cleaves nearby enemies for 20 / 25 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 65 / 80 / 95 / 110 / 125 / 140 / 155 / 175 / 195 / 215 / 240 / 265 / 290 (+0.6 per ability power) additional magic damage.
her passive is waaaaay too strong, this could easily be a proper ability instead of a passive
well her other abilities aren't that strong imo so it kind of makes up
Her cresent strike or whatever seems like it's going to be a bitch to get used to if you use smart cast.
It is common sense if your elo is lower then it should be, you win your lane, have higher chance to win the game, you win more then you loose your elo goes up.
Yeah, which relies on the rest of your team also being either at or above your Elo bracket and not fail all their lanes. Performing at or above your Elo level is meaningless in itself, it's a team game. You need a team. You shouldn't have to carry a game by yourself, ever.
There is nothing special that makes you get retards on your team and good players on the other.
Exactly my point. There's no skill involved, it's whoever got the biggest retard(s) on their team that loses. No skill is involved.

I duo queue'd with a friend who has had a string of bad games and got down to 1200Elo. I'm 1400~, so I wanted to help him out.
Top lane Fiora went 0/6 against Teemo, mid lane Orianna went 0/8/1 by the end of the game against Ahri, who proceeded to gank and snowball everything around her and went 18/1 by the time the game ended.
It doesn't matter that I picked Skarner, who is my strongest champ, have a 60%~ win rate for, gave Orianna first blood in her lane on Ahri, camped top lane, pink warded and secured all the dragons in the game, and was 200Elo above the other highest player on the enemy team. You don't come back from that.
i was pretty angry while playing yesterday, i won my lane incredibly hard as lee sin (7/2), but i lost anyways as the game went on
talked to bananaman because i was angry, and his wise words of wisdom:
"it's not enough to win your lane. you have to win your mid, jungle, and bot as well. if you have an advantage, go use it to help other lanes as well and stop staying top"
I never used smartcast in my life.

In my own opinion at least, the worst lane to carry out of in solo queue is top lane. You have very little impact in the game until your lane is over. If you want to help people, you're either only helping mid lane with regularity, or going extremely out of your way to dragon objectives/bottom lane ganks.
Jungle and mid lane is where it's at.

The enemy team will be as bad as your teammates so they will have poor teamwork too
I never used smartcast in my life.
youre missing out, you play a lot better with it once you get smartcasting down
The enemy team will be as bad as your teammates so they will have poor teamwork too
Which, again, is meaningless when it comes down to which one lane played the worst or who made the first mistake.
youre missing out, you play a lot better with it once you get smartcasting down
i'm already pro enough
the enemy team is just as likely to have retards/good players as your team.
and if you think you're good, then you should make enough of a difference to win an average of more games and losses, and the better you are at making a difference, the higher your elo goes up as you improve.
I never used smartcast in my life.
You should at least try it. I was always like "MEHHHH SMARTCASTING IS 4 TRYHARDZ lululluulululululul", but then I tried it out after a few months of belittling it, and jesus christ i cannot go back.

Yeah but again, it's a dice roll. Your impact on the game can only be so large. Yes, on average and in theory, you should win more than you lose. There also shouldn't be people who can only play one easy to counter pick champion and still lose lane in 1200Elo as first pick.
but if it's not large enough to win you the game then you deserve to be at the elo you are at
sometimes the game is unwinnable, yeah, but the same number of that case would be happening for the enemy team as well.
you can't seriously be thinking that for some reason the enemy team always gets good players more often...
As soon as I heard about smartcasting a few months after playing I tried it, and it took a couple of games to get used to it.
The idea of all that time wasted positioning your mouse while clicking seems ridiculous now. Smartcast4lyfe.
if you think that your teammates are bad, then you technically would be the "good" player on the team, so you should do as a good player would do, and carry their asses, like the other good player carrying the other team
i'm already pro enough
you dont smartcast?
news to me ninny mlg pro
Why would I bother with smartcasting if I can simply cast my spells, I never miss them.
you dont smartcast?

never used smartcast ever
Do you guys know that feel when you want a 6300 champ and have less than 1000 IP?
I'm feeling it right now.
I tend to wait a week to purchase a new champion, see how they do and such.
By the time I buy them the next sneak peek is out. :c
I don't smartcast because sometimes I fatfinger or hit a minion with my ult when I do
[editline]29th July 2012[/editline]
Plus I like the sound that activating an ability makes
Smartcast for life. Saves your life when fights come down to milliseconds worth of timing. Never leave home without it is how i roll.

Been there. Hit my ult numerous times when I haven't meant to, fortunately most of it has been with a targeted ult. It's embarrassing when you're half-way back to your lane as Galio and suddenly you turn into a statue and start taunting all the empty air around you.
Sometimes I press R when I'm trying to type something without hitting enter first
Then I just hope no one noticed before crying myself to sleep
