its not very cost effective compared to other expensive ap items, but it has too much synergy not to get a 2nd chance
the last diana i played with got one and wrecked
is viktor underpowered or what?
his item thing is so crap, it feels like a waste of a slot, and his damage across the board just seems shit considering his cooldowns and how much mana stuff uses

He can dish out a ton of damage, but in my opinion he's quite a bit weaker than most AP carries.
Mid game he's amazing once it rolls into late game his passive is a major holdback.
Oh and Level Q first, i see so many levelling laser and pumping out little to no damage at any point of the game.

I think that Viktor's hex core should have a tree to it, like choosing one upgrade unlocks two or three significantly more expensive (and mutually exclusive) augmentation upgrades that allow you to either increase the power of the initial augment you chose or hybridize your build a bit. Like, for example, if Viktor grabbed Augment: Death, he could get even more damage with one upgrade, or he could fork off into getting some more utility or tankiness.
Currently the Hex Core feels more like a liability than an actual passive, especially in the later game where item slots become more and more valuable.

Pretty much this. It's nice for the augment to give you some extra AP which makes him very good mid game, but as soon as you hit late game you end up just coughing on people whilst they pump out plenty of damage. The augment is a fun idea, but needs a buff to be viable imo.

Then those Viktor's had the shittiest build. His laser does a shit-ton of damage if you build him double dorans + deathcap.

Too bad it's got a highish cd and if you miss it you're fucked. Q does so much damage mid game it's ridiculous, taking 1 or 2 points in laser early might be good for harass but Q just busts their balls.
IMO each of the augments need another upgrade;
Eg. Augment Death -> Augment Terror
Augment Gravity -> Augment Universe
somethign like that, I only managed to think of some fancy names though, nothing more

secure an insane advantage midgame, don't do much lategame (die in teamfights) but the advantage gotten at midgame for your team is good enough to outweigh it.

I'm pretty sure everyone thinks you shouldn't get abyssal and void staff at the same time for some reason despite it just being even more penetration even if void staff won't be taking as much as it would

If cooldowns are such a big problem on Viktor, why not gear towards a CDR focused mastery/rune page build?
I still think they should buff him a bit, though. Lower the mana costs/CD on his Q+E, and maybe extend the silence duration on his ultimate.
His ultimate is already really strong. I think if he is buffed he will become quite common.
Any ideas on building diana? It seems attack speed is really important since once you are in battle you have no damaging abilities really apart from your passive cleave which scales with AP

That would be sweet, change the item attributes and costs around so the first item is useful in mid game and you dish out more for the last late game item.
