I understand the Atmas but the double IE makes little sense. Graves is probably the best AD carry Atmas carrier though.
Welp my LoL heaven cruise didn't last too long, just got 3 defeats in a row 4th one probably incoming. Had 20 wins over losses at my winstreak peak gg
why do people act like gigantic bitches all game, ignore calls just to spite each other, instalock 3 ad carries, cry all game when they start to lose, refuse to surrender, refuse to play and then tell everyone to report you when you stop giving a fuck about the game and buy 6 zeals as zyra
Because the league community is shit
As is essentially every other MOBA community.
The only other moba ive played is dota 2, i dont like it though.
The only other moba ive played is dota 2, i dont like it though.
If the Dota 2 community is anything like original Dota, take LoL just with about 30% more bitching overall and 70% more directed at specific champions being OP.
Isn't DOTA 2 supposed to be like 'perfectly balanced' (meaning essentially all champs are viable)? In most DOTA 2-LoL comparisons that's what I've seen people claim.
It's not as 'perfectly balanced' as people like to claim. I'm sure they'll work on balancing everything well before it's publicly launched, but the little bit of playtime I had with it showed how vastly underpowered some heroes were, whereas some were just stupidly strong. Zeus and Lina come to mind when I think of 'instant rape.' Weaver, on the other hand, is largely a nuisance more than anything.
Yeah I find it hard to believe how 108 heroes can be perfectly balanced, sounds surreal to me. Don't think I'll find out any time soon thought, dammit Valve
In Dota every hero is strong if played right. (If the meta supports them, even better.) In LoL there's those guys like Heimer who are quite shit compared to their counterparts, making them quite shit. The balancing in Dota works in the way of every hero being completely unique compared to one another, in League you can generally generalize people into roles like Tanky-dps and AD carry, who play very similar compared to other dudes of the same role. Like let's take a look at Dota's supports, like Crystal maiden VS Lich. Both are ice themed. Both have AoE slow (the spells used to be exactly the same at one point) How they differ is CM having Root/Disarm for 3.5 seconds, huge global manaregen aura (Heroes are lucky to have 1 manaregen at lv1, her aura gives 2 at max rank, once again: globally) Her ult is also a channeled Gangplank's ult around herself, which damage is bullshit, around 230 per explosion. (To clarify, average heroes have about 1200-1500 hp at 16) Lich in the other hand has Frost armor buff on mates, once melee guy hits the dude with the buff their attspeed is slowed quite much, his E eats own creep to give him mana, denying the exp from it and he also recieves mana from it. His ult is pretty same as Brands, but around 450 damage per bounce at max rank, also surprisingle him being an ice releated mage: it slows too which makes it harder to run away from. 2 support heroes, still completely different skillsets. These 2 heroes are one the most similar heroes in Dota, but still act very different. Dota is balanced around variety, there's nobody who can outdo Lich being Lich or Tiny being Tiny; there's no other hero who can fucking throw an allied hero at something, dealing shitloads of damage doing so. Just a few pointers.
rated optimistic because it's actually incredibly optimistic. what they should do is make elo based on your performance, kinda like credit gain is going to be in Halo 4's infinity slayer. or make it so that everyone starts a match with +20 elo. Plays and kills and objectives and assists get you + whatever Deaths and throws and being a prick get you - whatever. that way it's possible for trolls to troll and you to still get +elo
I'd prefer the current system over any game-by-game elo system. You win, you get elo, you lose, you lose elo. The more games you play the less elo you gain or lose and eventually you'll normalise. with this, there's all sorts of complicated things to take into consideration. Do assists count as much as kills? A lot of focus would suddenly be put on teamfights since everyone wants a slice of the elo pie. People missing out on assists would lose out in terms of elo. Then, what of supports? If assists are made less than kills, supports either need to stay aggressive and be allowed some kills or will lose out entirely. "Make supports gain more elo on assists", you say? Then riot is enforcing the playstyles of champions. there's too many things wrong with an overcomplicated system to warrant having it.
I don't like the current Elo system but I agree with papayaplatapus that there's not much else to do with it. It has flaws (Individual Elo in a team based game is broken in principle), but yeah, good luck finding a better. Instead I think they just need to work on making the experience better for everyone. A forfeit system if someone on your team goes AFK/quits. A way to remove people during champion selection and re-queuing if someone is trolling at the start. Putting a discrepancy limit on duo queue partners.
Ok everyone stop talking about dota in this thread because most of you dont know shit about it like the guy a few posts above claiming weaver is annoying while zeus is op (yeah that hero with 0 utility) and stick to the threads topic yo
the only way I can see improving the system in a way that benefits everyone is to just make it so that if someone leaves the game (as in, leaves for long enough that the enemy team gets the notice they left as well and that they haven't returned by the time the game ends) then none of the people on the team remaining get an elo penalty, or it's halved at least, whereas the offender takes the regular elo drop plus, say, a flat penalty of -10 elo or something. Yeah, it's open to abuse with duo-Q players just having one person leave, but since at least one person is losing out in that, will anyone be stupid enough to do it? probably, but not enough to make a difference.

Anyone else getting horrendous desync issues in game on EUW, me and my duo are lagging out every 30-40 seconds randomly?

[editline]14th August 2012[/editline] 3 hours ahahahahahaha that explains everything.
god ranked is so stupid. our leader misses two bans and first picks sion. He goes top, and rushes bilge water. He cost my team the game and nasus has 250 farm. That was fucking dumb
Wow Zyra is really fun. And strong. Maybe I'll be getting her instead of Rengar. Arrrgh why Riot, why do you have so many champions.
Lonely, model-less Maokai.
he got one with nature
Man I just bought diana and now Rengar? Come on riot, get off my IP bank.
is rengar good?
He looks like a blast, that for certain.
If you like brushes you'll love Rengar.

I think I might buy Rengar, but he does kind of look like Renekton 2.0 a little bit. Edit: Actually what am I talking about it's only really his Q that reminds me of Renekton. And maybe a little bit of his W.
