WHY ON EARTH WOULD HE DO THAT DOGGUN?! a
Why not?
Because this is not the most golden of times or places to discuss such a thing
You gotta get God of War and Little Big Planet and Killzone 2 Oh wait...
If you wanna play Metro 2033 then just rent it, don't buy it. It's pretty short but a really good run. [editline]12:13AM[/editline]
You gotta get God of War and Little Big Planet and Killzone 2 Oh wait...
Ya, none of those games are good though. Except God of War. Kind of.
I recommend: Bad Company 2 Maybe one of the Call of Dutys. I suggest 4 and WaW if you haven't played them before you get MW2. Don't get any Valve games. Try out the demos for games. Grand Theft Auto IV + the expansions (or just Gay Tony if you can only get one) Just Cause 2 Red Dead Redemption (comes out around May 18th or so) Mass Effect 1/2 Maybe Fable 2, but I personally didn't like it that much. I can't think of any other FPS. You can try Halo if you want. I think everybody should try Halo at least once to decide whether they're a fan, a hater, or in between.
why no valve games? GET VALVE GAMES
Just Cause 2 Modern Warfare 2 Borderlands if you don't have it for PC Some awesome racing game Seriously, rent or get Halo 3, play it so you can say how much it sucks or whatever. I liked it.
why no valve games? GET VALVE GAMES
Playing a Valve game on the console? Surely you jest...

Conviction has extreme highs and lows, I would suggest getting it used if you can. Bad Company 2 is fantastic, though I don't know how well it plays on the 360. Definitely get Red Dead Redemption when it comes out.
why no valve games? GET VALVE GAMES
They're horrid on the consoles. [editline]07:41AM[/editline] Yes I also liked Conviction
Don't get any Valve games.
What's that supposed to mean? Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 have a pretty large community on the 360. [editline]04:10AM[/editline]
They're horrid on the consoles.
Nevermind..... they're not horrid, they're just not as good because modding tools no longer apply.
Portal Halo: ODST (For Reach Beta) Call of Duty 4 Gears of War 2
Beautiful Katamari Halo ODST i suppose to see if you want to play/reserve Halo Reach COD4 Saints Row 2 Bad Company 2 Super Street Fighter 4 Bayonetta Now for some Arcade choices i like also. Geometry Wars 2 Castle Crashers Bomberman Live Perfect Dark Banjo Kazooie and Tooie AfterBurner Climax Serious Sam 1 Thats all i can think of right now, even if you dont like most of them, wouldent hurt to try them out.
Left 4 Dead 2 Red Dead Redemption, when it comes out Halo 3 ODST Saints Row 2 Modern Warfare 2 Just Cause 2 Bayonetta
1. Red Dead Redemption, dont listen to taken_opal. That game will be amazing on 360, you can get a great time if you get some friends on with Xbox live 2. Halo 3 3. Dead Rising 4. buy some MS point cards and buy Arcade games like Serious Sam HD, Castle Crashers 5. with those cards buy: Halo (1200 MS) Fable (1200 MS) Black (1200 MS) Fahrenheit (1200 MS)
Portal Halo: ODST (For Reach Beta) Call of Duty 4 Gears of War 2
Valve games suck on the 360.
Valve games suck on the 360.
It's Portal. A pure SP experience like it wouldn't be ruined by lack of mods.
Halo 3 is good.
What's that supposed to mean? Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 have a pretty large community on the 360. .
They also have a LAAAAARGGGE community of griefers.
Well, if you're looking for RPG's, try out The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3 and the Mass Effect's and if you're looking for hardcore RPG try Dragon Age: Origins
Alan Wake, looks good!

Don't let people talk you out of the Halo games. Most people who hate it are just jumping around on the massive Halo hate bandwagon. In reality, they're damn good games. If I were you, I would start from Halo 1, and work your way to halo 3, that way you get the whole story. Its always better to start from the first in a trilogy. Keep in mind, Halo 1 and 2 were for the original xbox, but they should still work on your 360. The only real problem with getting them all is that they shut down Halo 2's servers a while ago, so no more online multiplayer. But splitscreen and the campaign are still as good as ever! Halo 3: ODST is not necessary, but it wasn't as awful as some would have you believe. Of course, Halo games aren't the only ones worth looking into. -Just Cause 2 -Battlefield: Bad company 2 -Bioshock 1 and 2 -Mass Effect 1 and 2 and there's more, but, they'll probably be mentioned later in the thread if they haven't been already.
Some game from the Halo series(2,3,ODST,...) Edit: ^ What the above dude said
Bad Company 2 and mw2 are quite cool on the xbox. Also get gta IV. Don't get the orange box. Those games are only fun on the PC (except portal can be a little fun) and TF2 is outdated. Left 4 Dead (2) is fine, though the game is a lot better on the pc. I have never played JC2 on xbox, but it looks really terrible to play it on a console. I've played Gears of War 2, it was cool, but not THAT great. I've never actually played any of the halo series, but people say it's a good game. Borderlands is fun if you have friends that also have it. I also found mirror's edge quite good, though not very long. Guitar Hero is fun, but ONLY if you have a couple of friends with you. The game gets really boring after playing some time, the only way to have more fun is to have a couple of friends and let them all play instruments (and laugh at the one who's singing). But the price of all the instruments+game is not worth it.
Stay away from any and all Call of Duty games except for 2 and 4.
I have never played JC2 on xbox, but it looks really terrible to play it on a console.
It's not, I have it for my Xbox, and I love it to pieces. The game doesn't need mods to be fun.
Also, I got the 360 Elite pack that came with Halo 3:ODST and Forza 3. But the campaign disk got scratched and won't play. So I basically already have Halo 3, but the multiplayer and that's it..
