Portalized - Back and Better Than Ever - Scalable Movable Portals

It's pretty cool how when you throw a portal in a portal it sprays red stuff out.
OGL gives me the "We're sorry, but Disorder.exe has encounter problems and needs to close." thing.
D3D tells me I'm missing a .dll file.
I don't get it...
OH SHIT! :cop:
:cop:
Da Po-Po gonna get ya, bitch!
RUN THE FUCK AWAY!
GET TO THA CHOPPAH!
-snip-
Forget this post.
If you put the small portal through the big portal, what happens?
Why don't you download it and see...
It flies back out with some red stuff.

Same here... Oh, whatever, I'll just upgrade.
I just wish I could get the thing to work, are there any specs I do not know of?
If you're missing a dll go download it...
Oh awesome.

What video card do you have?
Runs fine for me, but then again I have a 8800GT....:v:
My main complaint is that I can't seem to look around without noclipping, but that's probably just because of my own stupidity.
Good job overall!
Yep, I'm a retard. Read the readme again. I'll try once more.
My view keeps ending up sideways :crying:
I can run it...
It's really laggy though...
maybe it'll run better after I restart my comp...
I found a bug put the portals so the way you go into is facing down then make them drop, Then go through backwards you go straight through the ground. This might sound dumb but is it possible to walk on the ground in this build?
EDIT: Before I forget again if you rescale the portals using (F) and (R) and make them too small they fly through the roof

Where can I get a d3dx9_30.dll?
Where can I get a d3dx9_30.dll?

OGL crashed on sight for me. I can try it again, but it keeps on telling me I don't have d3dx9_30.dll
BUUUUUT, I have the latest version of DirectX, so I dunno.
XP Pro, by the way.
Re-installing just in case.
MS release DirectX updates every so often, it's the same version number but a different build.

That will update you to the latest version available.
I have a Radeon 9250 for whoever was asking so I can run Orange Box etc. and more so can I run this?
You should be able to, yes.
Try to use OpenGL if you used DirectX or
try to use DirectX if you used OpenGL.
They both do not work is there something I am missing?
Try it on another PC with a SM2.a graphics card. Maybe it will work there. If not, there are good chances you are doing something wrong.
I do not have another computer to try it with. Is there like a minimum directx level or something?
Hey cool, we can test it. Looks good by the way.
Can you do that "hall of mirrors" effect with it (when you have one portal behind and another one in front)?
Hold on guys, like I said, I'll make a fall back material for all of you who can't run it as it is right now.
Also, please don't tell me "it doesn't work"... Do you get a pop up with an error message? Does it just not appear? Does it appear for a split second and crash? What does the log say (release/main.txt or whatever it was) (just paste it here in code tags)?
Hey cool, we can test it. Looks good by the way.

Yes, you can. :D
And please change your avatar. :uhoh:
I think that is the avatar automatically
given to people when they don't have one.
And I tried it, my 8800GT vista and had a weired problem
where I could not type " into the console and therefore
could not finish the command to open the level.
On my older XP Laptop, it opened and closed instantly
until I turned on OpenGL mode. I could go through portals
perfectly, but the box occasionally fell to the other
side of the portal, without going through, and as everyone
else says, there was lag when looking near or at portals.
That may have something to do with my Integrated Mobile Intel 915GM.
Can't wait to try it on 3Ghz 8800GT XP next week.
Happy Coding!
Use [[bla]] instead of "bla"
I think that is the avatar automatically

I know, but he can still change it.
Is there any way I can decrease the amount of lag I'm getting?
For me it just opens for a split second and crashes, i'm too busy to try to fix it.
