Were these pictures taken on lowest settings or what?
Textures do look pretty bad in Oblivion at distances if you don't install mods.
I always go to anvil first when I start games.
Anvil gets my vote. Gotta love the port towns.
I always liked Anvil.

Skingrad.
i've always loved leyawiin for whatever reason
my favourite city is Anvil because of the nice sunny weather and i always liked port towns
It must be the whole cell-level design, because I remember a couple of these as having more than seven or eight houses. Bruma is still my favorite, though. The guard's uniforms, and the architecture was really cool.
I liked Cheydinhal. It looked nice and it had a good home you could buy.
Bruma is the way to go. I always loved that city, Nords are pretty cool. I prefer their style over the others designs. More of a "viking" race, the guards looked also nice.
Leyawiin is pretty depressing. Bruma and Cheydinhal are my favourites.
I always fall for Chorrol because of their beta demonstration videos.
Care to elaborate? Any links? I did a quick Google search but didn't find a thing.
cheydinhal, skingrad, imperial city and bruma ! I wanna install that game again it's now been 4 years !
As cities go they're all fucking shit. None of the 10 people that live in each city do anything so I guess everything was created and runs on fucking fairy dust.
Now I want to play it again.
As cities go they're all fucking shit. None of the 10 people that live in each city do anything so I guess everything was created and runs on fucking fairy dust.
it's a game, it does not have to make sense
Anvil Cheapest house and a great out-of-map glitch
Anvil. Has the best house, and I just like the town alot
i personally like the skingrad house the most because it has so much space but anvil is definitely my second best.
Imperial city for its architecture, Chorrol for the beta demonstrations (as stated above), Skingrad for my house, and I liked the cramped city feel, Anvil for the docks, and Bruma for it being the furthest north, and nice and snowy. Never cared much for cheydinhal, bravil or leyawin
I love Chorrol just for how peaceful it is and it has great guild headquarters. Probably the best city to live in.
I love how cozy Bruma feels. The mountains to the north are fantastic aswell, great for gathering stuff and hunting.
I liked Skingrad but got pissed when I couldn't buy a house there, I pushed the Orc selling it into a wall and he got stuck and dissapeared. But Bruma was my favourite, it felt...cozy. Despite being in the snow.

Cheydinhal feels a lot better with the Better Cities mod and the 2x Vegetation mod. With tree shadows on, it feels a lot darker and gloomy, perfect for the Dark Brotherhood. My favorite has to be Bruma, the houses seem really cozy, and I love the feeling of being warm when it's cold outside. :3: I too wish to see these demo videos as well.
Here's the demonstration from before Oblivion was released, it also shows the radiant ai.
I don't have a favourite, but I hate whichever city it was with all the racial hatred between the furries and the lizard dudes. That city was a mess.
Chorrol if I remember correctly.
I'd say Bravil. Although I like Bruma too for the snow.
Come on, Skingrad!
