Ugh, whenever someone hits me it makes some stupid noise and I die instantly.
First impressions: There was a noticeable amount of lag, but it plays almost exactly like the Modern Warfare series with nanosuits, killstreaks included. Only one map so far. Good job Cryek.
Don't need to be a dick about it, sometimes people miss some words/skip them. Also lag issues is either your fault or bad luck with getting a game. Also I saw the urmom as every link under your name, are you 12?
Nah, I just wanted to fill it. Besides, 12 year olds don't do "your mom" shit. 10 year olds do.
Seriously, GAME DEVELOPERS. STOP FUCKING COPYING COD. Yes it sold well, but you know, sometimes we want to play something different. Even Homefront coming out Q1 is going to be like COD.

I don't see the similarities to CoD at all.

Honestly I feel the game-play diverts too much away from the original Crysis. I'm going to miss actually turning modes on with the wheel, now they just do everything for you.
The best thing about the demo is the sterioscopic 3D-via-crosseyes mode. Pretty awesome, if uselss for actual "tacticool" gameplay. I wish more games had this feature. Takes me about 10 minutes though to focus my eyes just right so the center 3D image appears clear. Looks fucking awesome using 3D, though because it essentually halves the screen you can't really see detail too well plus it being a huge FoV handicap.

It's greyed out.
its like cod and halo had a baby and not the cute baby the deformed one [editline]26th January 2011[/editline] looks great though
And the suit abilities seem super....... normal. At least in multiplayer. The "power jump" is pretty much the same jump height you have in Halo except you can now climb up ledges, "sprinting mode" is actually slower than in CoD, strength well... it kills people akin to Halo. Except all these functions drain your energy, which is tied to your actually useful functions i.e. armor mode (which also drains energy when active). One of the biggest critisims of the first Crysis was that the suit modes lasted too short before energy ran out and just were not good enough to do anything outside of armor mode (the default) or cloak. Now what they did was made it so armor mode is a toggle that drains energy, but still kept all the other abilities as useless as ever (though cloak is slightly better without all that blue crap that gave you away). The best simple mod for Crysis I remember playing was one that actually made your suit modes distinct powerful choices that affected gameplay in their own special way. Cloak lasted a long time but no longer worked as a 100% cloak against enemies close up, speed mode didn't run out of energy in 3 seconds and actually made you more than x2 faster, strength mode jumps didn't take most of your energy away, etc. It was great, the suit modes felt powerful yet balanced, and they were all unique archetypes. What Crysis 2 multiplayer does is make everything on par with CoD/Halo's physics/movement except say "SPEED MODE" when you sprint or play a jump sound when you jump. This Demo is the Beta that those people got, so we're not even getting the Final Product, proves that they give a flying fuck.

When you activate speed mode in Crysis, you haul some serious fucking ass. When you activate strength mode, you jump high as shit and rape everything with your bare hands. I was extremely disappointed to find that you don't run nearly as fast or jump nearly as high in the demo. Makes me feel less like a super-soldier and more like a normal dude that can jump a little higher than normal.

I'm sure you'll feel more powerful in singleplayer.
That's the thing though, the multiplayer would be way more unique and fun if everyone had badass capabilities. Don't tell me you wouldn't nut in your pants if you saw two guys leap high as shit and punch each other in mid-air, only one of them coming down alive.

Killstreaks? Aagh. Still have high hopes for this game though.
Every time i try to play it just freezes my xbox.
What are the killstreaks?
My xbox froze trying to play it. Finished loading the map. Went to select assault or whatever. And bam. Super Gamma with artifacts upon shutdown.
Thanks I'm going to try it as soon as I'm done my math exam tomorrow :D gonna let it download over night <3
One thing I noticed was that they just throw you straight into the game. I sort of wished there were tutorials/hints of some sort so I had a bit of an idea what I was doing when I first started. Also why does everyone stand on the glasshouses? Sure, it gives you a good view over a fairly large portion of the map but you stick out like a sore thumb. Oh well, easy kills. I'd also like to comment on the spawns. I think they could be better. Sometimes I find myself wondering around struggling to find any enemies, other times they spawn right in front of me. Although I do admit that 90% of the time they are fine. Also whenever I hear the music I can't help but think of Inception. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
If this is what the game can do (graphically) on the 360, I cannot fucking wait for the PC version.
I think I worked out how kill streak work(I'm probably slow). I think that when you kill an enemy they drop a dog tag, when you collect the dog tag from their corpse you get +1 towards your killstreak reward. Not a bad way to do it. Also I just played a few rounds of the "Crash site" gamemode and I must admit it is quite fun. Rather then running around mindlessly killing the enemy you have a goal. I found that the nano suit's abilities were more useful too, for example using the cloak while defending.
I don't see the similarities to CoD at all.
the little crosshairs that appear when you hit someone? "hey JUST IN CASE YOU DIDNT KNOW thought id let you know that grenade you through across the map??? yea it hit someone CRAZY I KNOW"
the little crosshairs that appear when you hit someone? "hey JUST IN CASE YOU DIDNT KNOW thought id let you know that grenade you through across the map??? yea it hit someone CRAZY I KNOW"
Call of Duty didn't invent hitmarkers. And tons of games have hitmarkers.
It keeps freezing at during the loading screen to skyline.
PC now, please!
