Jesus Christ, it's a bloody Call of Duty clone. [editline]25th January 2011[/editline]
What are the killstreaks?
Pretty similar to Call Of Duty's, 3 kills=Radar that shows everyone on the map, works like UAV in BLOPS 5 Kills=Orbital Strike (Laser comes from the sky and kills the enemy's in the selected zone 7 Kills=Gunship--I have yet to see this but I imagine its just a helicopter type thing that flies around and shoots people
It just seems like another generic FPS to me. There was no discerning differences really.

If they focused on a more polished longer Singleplayer experience the game would of been a masterpiece. Multiplayer is only going to hurt the Crysis name.
For a console game, it's pretty nice looking. Can't wait to see the full PC version. Subtract the low-resolution of the console version, add AA and AF, better textures, shadows, lighting and give it a nice shiny layer of DX11 you've got one hell of a nice looking game. Still doesn't hold a candle to Crysis 1 though :v:

Levels,attachments,killstreaks... Now it only needs camos.
I heard it's been overheating peoples xbox's.
I heard it's been overheating peoples xbox's.
As if that's a difficult task to accomplish.
I heard it's been overheating peoples xbox's.
It was never supposed to be on that dated console.
Oh god the power stomp is really fun and so is sliding up on people to melee them. [editline]26th January 2011[/editline] It seems pretty cool except it's super bloomy and the jackal is over powered as fuck.
Because we got the first MP demo exclusively and the entire first game exclusively. Plus we have mod tools and all the cool shit the Xbox players will never get to see, also Dx10, 10.1, and 11 support. Seems only fair Xbox gets something. (Yes I know Xbox has Dev tools but for levels not mods)
You mean except the games they already get and we don't?
Been playing a bit of it, I don't traditionally play FPS on consoles, but this kinda feels CoD like, as others have been saying. Small sized map, kill streak style rewards, from what i've noticed people seem to be obsessed about running around and getting melee kills, similar to the knife runners in CoD.
I had high hopes for this and was surprised I was so disappointed, but I'm still buying the PC version. There's no way it can be as unpolished as that. I know it's a beta but damn :\
I missed crysis wars multiplayer. It used to be really fun, but now everyone has found the overpowered weapons and the only people who still play it are the fucking pro's.
It plays just like CoD with longer kill times. It's nothing special actually, even though it's fun at times.
MAXIMUM RADAR oh god I couldn't stop laughing. [editline]26th January 2011[/editline] Killstreaks in this are much different than what people make it out to be. In order to get a Killstreak, you have to kill the person AND pick up his dogtag. Therefore, it's much more difficult to gain a killstreak. Be thankful they didn't include, "MAXIMUM NUKE" or "MAXIMUM CHOPPER-GUNNER" or "MAXIMUM CARE PACKAGE" or something stupid like that.
Yeah, I like the fact that just killing people doesn't give you killstreaks.
I heard it's been overheating peoples xbox's.
thats cause all the dudes turned on their old-ass xboxes which collected dust over the time for the first time in months.
I don't know why Crytek bothered with Multiplayer. If they focused on a more polished longer Singleplayer experience the game would of been a masterpiece. Multiplayer is only going to hurt the Crysis name.
So you're judging the game months before its release date, not having played the full single-player campaign, and saying that the multiplayer has destroyed the quality of the single player campaign...
CryTek aren't the ones doing the multiplayer either. It's the old Timesplitters team that's behind it. For all we know the single player will be a lot different.
did you guys like abuse your xboxes because you are pc fans, i'm getting no framerate drops, no random disconnections, overheatings or any of this its just an all around fun game
Only if putting my penis in the disc tray counts as abuse
To those saying orbital laser is useless, I just got a triple kill final kill cam with it.
To be honest I'm quite pleasantly surprised with this beta. There are issues yeah, but the game play is pretty solid. I might get this, but I want to know if I can run it on my pc before I buy it.
The Gunship doesn't even look human, it looks like some dodgy Alien shit, fires like one aswell, the piece of shit thing is like a sniper.
Downloading the demo now. From what I have seen it looks way too much like COD. I'm not sure if I'm gonna like it. [editline]26th January 2011[/editline] Played one game so far. This should be renamed Call of duty: Future warfare
You can change controls to Alternative if you want to crouch on right stick and slam on B. This helped me alot.
I'm actually really enjoying this, if I rage out of a game I can just turn it off for 5 minutes and actually want to play again afterwards. Dare I say... I like it?

They've improved on a lot of things. Crysis 2's multiplayer is pretty much a cross between Call of Duty and Bad Company 2 with some polish thrown in. What I don't like however is that I can't edit my weapons on the fly, nor can I opt to keep Power mode permanently engaged. Hopefully these things will come into play in the singleplayer aspect. There was nothing inherently wrong with Crysis' multiplayer and I sort of wish they'd kept some of that stuff in there, it's just that the gameplay worked better for when you were fighting against an AI as an augmented soldier. It kinda fell flat when you went up against other people with the same abilities. The multiplayer gameplay of Crysis 2 seems a lot more specialized and streamlined.
I don't particularly like this. Half the time I haven't a clue where the fuck anyone is and as soon as I find someone they rush me with a shotgun.
Whoo 27-5 so much lasers [editline]27th January 2011[/editline] Aww max rank already.
It's called adaptation. If someone else does something right, mimic it.
But it wasn't done right, so there's no reason to mimic it. [editline]26th January 2011[/editline] So are the upgrades etc. level locked, or wasn't that in the demo?
