By the tits of my ancestors, these guards are stupid.
Can you guys help me out? I'm looking for mods for my nightblade character, I have the newest version installed with Shivering Isles, but I'm not sure what mods I should be looking for, because there are so many, and I don't know which ones actually are good. Basically I'm looking for bows/knvies/daggers/stealth/assassin/thief mods. I have alreadly got Deadly Reflex, but that's the only mod I have.

Try thieves arsenal. I'm not going to bother to type it out, so here's some copypasta.
Thieves Arsenal brings the stealth tools of the venerable Thief series to Oblivion.
Become one with the shadows and outwit your adversaries:
Blackjack, for knocking people unconscious;
Vine Arrows, which can be shot into rooftops and ledges to create a climbable vine;
Noisemaker Arrows, for distracting opponents while you sneak past undetected;
Water Arrows, for extinguishing lights;
Grease Arrows, to create slippery traps which can damage or knock out the unwary;
Holy Water Arrows, for repelling the undead;
Gas Arrows, to send guards off for a long nap.
Try OOO while you're at it. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15256
I've wanted to play Oblivion but I figure I'll just wait until whenever Bethesda decides to make V.

Haha.
That will be another year at the very least.

And even if it is released I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't nearly as good as Oblivion.
Which isn't saying much compared to Morrowind.

I actually tried Thieves Arsenal, but some of the voice acting was a bit annoying, and it had a lot of bugs.
I'm installing OOO now though.
Holy shit, Gates to Aesgaard is one of the freakiest quest mods i've seen so far.
Any mods to make the spell casting more like Dark Messiah?
How the fuck does this Wrye Bash shit work? :aaa:

You'll have to know how to work OBMM first.

I disagree actually, I think Morrowind and Oblivion are equal. Morrowind is more atmospheric, has much richer lore and more varied landscapes, but Oblivion has much better graphics and combat.
Other than those differences, both games are equally good in my opinion. The next game will be just as good as long as they don't make it more console friendly or anything like that.

Mod Manager right? Yeah well I installed Wrye Bash but I don't know what I should be launching, only .exe in there is 7z.exe and it's just a command prompt that closes after half a second.
You need wxpython.

Seeing as how Oblivion slightly suffers from this, I have to say I'm doubtful. Still, here's to hoping.

This too.
I was thinking about reinstalling, but I want to ask if there are any mods that add quests?

It's true that they simplified some of the mechanics in Oblivion, but some of those, like the combat, were for the better.
The consolized menus on the other hand were awful, but UI mods quickly fixed that. As long as they don't dumb down anything that mods can't fix, we'll be fine.

Nope.

Here's an excellent trilogy of quest mods. They have great plots and top notch writing:

It doesn't really matter what order you play them in. They all reference eachother but the timeline is a bit sketchy as to what order they actually take place in.
'I see you are a follower of the Gray Fox too'
YEAH FAGGOT NICE JOB SAYING THAT WHILE STANDING NEXT TO A FUCKING GUARD
JESUS CHRIST
I'm glad guards are dumb.

They simplified combat and made your stats useless. Only thing you need to worry about is having a good set of armour and health potions.
A conversation a dark elf was having with a guard went like
"I take walks every day to go see the great oak, it's amazing."(something like that)
"Absolutely not."
*scrolling though mods waiting till the day i can play it on my new pc coming soon*
OOO? meh..
better trees..
SEX MOD!!! :v: *CLICK* *CLICK* *CLICK* *CLICK* *CLICK* *CLICK*
I'm bored with oblivion again. This is usually the point in-time when I install a a lot of mods. Or I try to install all the mods in fcom without using fcom itself. It works. Fuck I have a migraine!! I've already been up for 35 hours straight.

Combat was ridiculous in Morrowind though, you couldn't even hit anything at the start of the game. It was much more rewarding when you finally mastered a weapon but it's not something I wanted to go through every time I made a new character.
And with OOO your stats actually matter again in Oblivion. Without mods you're right though, they're useless.
so, if you guys had to choose your top 10 mods..
what would they be?
I have no idea.

That's because it works like an actual RPG should.
I'm not saying that Oblivion was a worse game, but they turned it much more away from the RPG genre than Morrowind did.
