What would you say are our chances if we tried to personally stop the zombie horde?
Awesome, 28 days later Tamriel style.

I'd say null.

Its not the Fallout 3 mod, there is a zombie mod for Oblivion.
I know. but someone mentioned there was a mod like it for Fallout 3.
Also can't find the zombie link. I'd really like to try it.
Yes, but when you turn it on (I used patient zero so I had plenty of time before the zombies were a problem), start preparing for the coming invasion.
Find the best defensible place, get as many followers as you can to get there.
Stock up on food, weapons, armor, repair hammers and other necessary items for you and your followers/ eventual survivors.
Get as many materials for the cure illness spell (Cures zombification) as you can, and horde it.
If you can, get a mod that lets you farm land, so you can have a lasting supply over the long siege. (I don't think one exists, so hunt/buy as much food as possible)
When the invasion starts, gather as many survivors as possible. They will be your only hope in defending your spot and then retaking the world.

Where do you think is the best place to try and defend against the siege in oblivion without many building mods? Also, which mods which add things like fortesses do you reccomend?

Two pages back.
12? I still can't find it...
Depending on your settings, you have either a very very very very slim chance or absolutely no chance.
Patient zero - One random (Includes mods like crowded roads) person is infected. If you want this setting to work, you would need a high hitpoint count for zombies as well as a high chance to get up again after being killed the first time.
Dawn of the Dead - Entire world except you and the town/area you're in is infected. Good luck.
28 days later - Build your own invasion from the ground up by changing every setting included in the mod.
The Hive - A single, random city is turned into zombies and the horde inside will spread outward.
The Horde- A horde is spawned at a random place in Cyrodil and roams around city to city, this mod has the Migration setting where a section of the horde breaks off and forms another horde.
All these has a chance of putting "sleeper" hosts in cities where a person from a previous siege is infected then sent to another city to start the infection, then the horde moves in to attack the weakened city.
It also adds city destruction, where an invaded city gets destroyed.
If you choose that the mod is too dangerous, then you can just tell the game to reset and all zombies will be removed, all NPCs will be respawned, and everything will return to normal.

Well, without any DLC or Mods I suggest Cloud Ruler Temple.
With all the DLC, I suggest Battlehorn Keep.
With mods, Helms Deep is the absolute best fortress that you could get.
1 entrance, many fall back positions, bottlenecks, archer positions etc...
I like Helms deep because unlike all the other castle mods is that it is big enough to make a small city/ survivor colony.
But if you plan on living alone/ with a bunch of elite knights then any castle mod will work.
Helms Deep is also surrounded by mountains.
Awesome~!

Brb DLing Helms Deep. Too bad I don't got Legolas with me.
For teh lulz get Sauron's armor and Uruk armor, use Sauron's armor yourself and outfit your army with Uruk armor.

I was thinking this mod would work, http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=649 , considering that it's in the mountains with ogres there, plus I have a mod which increases spawns, so hopefully the ogres would beat the shit out of anything that got even near the place. But, the place isn't built like a fortess. I'll go with helms deep for now.

Good idea. Besides, I was getting tired of being the goody two shoes type of knight.

Paradox!
The siege will start soon, I am seeing what the preliminary horde is leaving behind (dead animals all over the woods).
I also see some lone zombies wandering around.
I need to blow off some steam because I know this is gonna be fucking intense.
Off to play Lugaru.
Goddamnit.
That hunger/thirst mod doesn't include any of the alcohol or potions added or modified by OOO.

How many dead animals?
That's pretty impressive how the zombie mod has a "put it back how it was everything's all zombie'd :(" option
All this talk makes me want to reinstall. Must...resist...urge...to...spend...hours...installing...and...modding....
is there any mods out there that make your character less...mute, while using the existing NPC dialogue?
All this talk makes me want to reinstall. Must...resist...urge...to...spend...hours...installing...and...modding....
Do not resist dear brother. We wouldn't want to lose you would we. The Night Mother is waiting for you.
How many dead animals?
2 packs of wolves, 3 bears, a bunch of sheep.
They don't leave them around, those were animals already roaming in the woods that they killed.
Finally have a setup that can run the game max, and I lose the damn DVD.. I'm sure it's somewhere in the hundreds of stacks of discs I have laying around, but I've yet to find it..
My followers never seem to want to enter Helms Deep. Its annoying
once i've had sleep, i'm dured i'll look back and laugh at my silly grammer and stuff
but this is what this game can do to me

get sleep first
I'm buying this in a few moments, I've played on and off. I've bought the Xbox version(which was still fun due to the lack of logic the game has), I've done some things I'm not mentioning with it, now I'm finally buying it.
Anything you guys would recommend?

I can go for 3 days straight without sleep and I can still spell fine. Go get some sleep though. Oblivion can wait.
Fighting the Daedra and sending Mehrunes Dagon back from which the hell he came can never wait!

By the way any one know how to get NPCs to enter Helms Deep?
