What the hell?! What's going on here?! How do we fix this men?

What's left in the data folder afterwards is a esp file that's 0 KB and a tes file that is 1 KB. I'm not sure what those two specifically do. Corrupt files probably.

Same here, I can't find anything on google except two cases where people have the same thing, but no one helped them with a solution.

This is why I never learned how to mod. It always messes up and you're clueless about it.
This has never happened to me, no. Two years back I used to mess around with CS, mostly house changes. I updated my chorrol house, added some lights out on the front, added a guard, basement, and changed the Suit to an office! Of course CS crashed every now and then, but I would save it regularly.
I don't know what's going on now though...
[editline]09:41PM[/editline]
Okay, I'm only crashing when editing KotN files so it seems, what gives? Is this why there aren't many KotN mods?
[editline]09:47PM[/editline]
Alright, for editing KotN I figured out that I have to save the file as it is ( aka active file ) instead of making a new one like I am used to doing. Bleh.

I just enabled the dremora race, the hair and the eyes for it. It saved properly. So the problem is with the KotN files themselves. Not much we can do.

So when you select it with the data menu, you have to set it as an active file in order to work with it? Modding is getting interesting now. I can only do basic stuff though.

You really have to just goof around to get to learn things. Imo, you gotta learn on your own and guides won't exactly help you learn in the beginning, but that's just me.
Start out simple, like experiment with placing things in cells first, then experiment with cells by making your own with doors, then NPCs with their own simple scripts, then you can try making quests, which sadly I could never learn how to do.
Anyway, when selecting a file as active, when you hit save everything you've changed will be saved to that esp file.

Already figured that out. Right now I'm just editing damage done by weapons and racial abilities. How do I place things in cells though?

You click and hold on your selected item and drag it into the cell I do believe. If your item appears to not be there It's probably under the cell itself, you can move it via x,y,z coordinates in the cell items menu or whatever ( The thing that shows what's in the cell ) by double clicking on it.

Thanks. Going to bed now. Otherwise I won't be able to focus in school and I'll have migraines. School might be cancelled though. Weather channel said there would be ice.
Can anyone help me? Whenever I enter Fort Sutch to complete Bad Medicine it always crashes.

movetoqt in your console
if it crash, disable all your mods, try again
The construction set is useful. The only thing I'm using it for right now though is changing the default oblivion races to what I think they should be like.
I've messed around with the construction set a bit, but is it just me, or are a lot of the building options only presets? The only ones I've found that aren't are the dungeon ones. I prefer to make my own house, so if anyone more experienced could point those out to me, it'd be great.
Talking about interior, if that helps.

I think some of the IC house one's aren't preset, but I think that's the basements only.

Does anyone know in cs, what the mages guild's altar of enchant and spellmaking are under?
Is there a detailed walkthrough on how the hell to install FCOM anywhere? I just downloaded it, but the only thing resembling a manual I could find was a list of mods I need, with three of them being dead links.

Fuck I uninstalled oblivion on my laptop a few days ago. Morrowind too. This sucks.[/QUOTE]
Probably late but bethesda were going to put kids in it, then they thought it was a bad idea because people would be all "OMG YOU CAN MURDER CHILDREN" so they thought about making the children invincible, which the fans said took away from the realism, so now there are only adults. That file must be leftovers from when they implemented the children, like hot coffee was left over from GTA:SA

The group cell name is from KotN, read my post from earlier on this... it has nothing to do with actual children.

When you activate the MMM OMOD, it will ask you if you have OOO installed. Click yes, and you'll be fine. I'm running OOO+MMM.

Ah, I thought it might have been present in other cells, obviously I'm wrong
Also, about what I said, I think m'aiq the liar has a reference to it.
[editline]10:42PM[/editline]
[quote=uesp.net]"M'aiq believes the children are our future. But he doesn't want them ruining all of our fun."
A reference to discussion on the forums during development about whether children should be included in Oblivion. One group wanted children to be in to add realism; the other group argued that if children were added then the player would be allowed to kill them and the game would be denounced as a child murder simulator. A counter to this would be to make the children invincible, but the opposition countered this saying that doing that would ruin any initial realism.[/quote]

I don't really like what they did with M'aiq. They mocked every request they didn't want to do.
I think he was funnier in Morrowind.
He's still a cool guy.
Whoa, Hand to Hand Advanced+Deadly Reflex make playing a punchy guy AWESOME.
Punch unconscious-->equip dagger-->press 'shield bash'-->STABBY STAB
that FCOM thing looks pretty good, is it on tesnexus?
