Hello everyone,
As I'm sure you saw, the release of the BETA was scheduled to be on the 31st. Luckily (for you and for me), I'm going on an unplanned trip this week-end so the mod will be released early. It's hosted on several places:
- TESNexus
- FileFront (see TESNexus' mirror page)
- TES Alliance (kudos to DarkRider for that one)
Some improvements over the last public release:
- You don't have to use the console any more to get to Middle-Earth, an optional plugin grants you spells to teleport to and from there.
- Some armors and weapons are also available. Please note, compared to Oblivion stuff they are VERY powerful.
- More regions are added, of course. I'm quite sure most of you will go to Minas Tirith first, but there is also the Blue Mountains, the Brown Lands... Since us developers had a 0.2.3 version, I'm not really sure how much is new for you. ;) I think Arnor is, maybe Mirkwood too.

Anyone know where I can get the Bashed Patch? It's website seems to be down...
Okay, so I make this scroll mod that fortifies your acrobatics by 1000 points for 7 seconds.
I go to test it out, and... well, lets just say I was a little surprised with the results.

And if you actually are talking about the Bashed Patch itself, it's under ...\oblivion\mopy\extras
Then you just rebuild it.
Is there and simple tutorial that explains installing better cities? I followed the readme and I get big yellow exclamation marks in every city. :emo:

This is a stupid question, but did you also install the resource pack? I had the same problem, and found out it was just me being retarded again.
Yeah I did.
I'll try reinstalling it, course I gotta redownload it first.
Has anyone ever tried to get the 100% chameleon legit?
That is where you make 5 different magical items with 20% chameleon on each, then when you put them all on no one can see you.

Good show old boy.
Just got a mod that adds a daedric chainsaw. Unfortunately, it was in the dungeon nornalhorst, so vampires were there. Plus the guy that had the chainsaw was overpowered. Also started the main quest, it's annoying because I already know what happens.

Did anyone hear the rumours that bethesda have been working on an elder scrolls MMO? I searched and found nothing.

That's a myth.

A MMO would ruin the elder scrolls in my opinion.
My game crashes whenever I enter the market district. Must be that one mod I installed that adds a sewer hideout there. I'll just find another mod that adds a house there.
God damn the Lost Spires mod is awesome. Screenshots soon to come.
[sp]More like when I get around to it[/sp]
So I found this mod that doubles my framerate, finally I can enter combat and have a chance at winning without turning down the difficulty!
This needs to be added to the OP, I think the OP has an outdated version.

I get the feeling it disables v sync.
There's large gaps in the landscape and floating objects in Chorrol, help?
I have Unique Environments and Better Cities Full installed, if that helps.

It optimizes framerate by changing ingame graphics settings and the oblivion ini file to keep your framerate at a certain point, such as 40. And it does all this ingame too. I could describe it a bit better, but I don't feel like it right now. It changes the settings when needed to keep your framerate at a certain point.
Oh yeah, is Kvatch's symbol a wolf or a boar?
And is Kvatch Rebuilt still active?

Wait, so it won't make my 50 fps in the wilderness go to 60 or 70 all the time? I'm about to try it right now...

It optimizes framerate when needed. Which means when framerate gets low, it changes settings to get better performance. You can set the settings yourself, so if you want, you can make it try and keep your framerate at 60 or 70 most of the time. I personally think 50 fps is good enough for just about any game, but whatever works for you.
What? I thought Streamlines clears cell buffers and the like to reduce memory load?
I've only recently considered buying Oblivion. It looks pretty good.
Before you rate me dumb, the reason I didn't look closely at Oblivion was because I love FPSs like CounterStrike: Source and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Gotta' love those.
I looked into it recently because I've just about finished playing MW2 to death, and I don't see any worthwhile FPSs coming out soon.
When I looked at the screenshots for Oblivion, I almost slammed my head against the desk for my ignorance. :bang:
Pretty good? THIS...IS...EPIC!
I'm waiting for the next sale (i.e, Easter) to buy it off of steam.
Good god DO NOT BUY THIS OFF OF STEAM.
Good god DO NOT BUY THIS OFF OF STEAM.
What's wrong with buying it off of steam?
What's wrong with buying it off of steam?
The compatibility is shit on steam, while off of steam it is great! No mods or changed setting oddly. Might just be me but still.

I don't know anymore.
