I might reinstall this on the saturday lan day.
Oh my god fine, I'm reinstalling oblivion. I cant resist the urge anymore.

Does anyone know of any good mods to use that won't ruin the game? I downloaded Mart's Monster Mod and all it did was underpower the enemies extremely and change some equipment. I downloaded that Guard Overhaul mod, and it nearly broke the game entirely (guards wouldn't arrest me sometimes, if I crouched every guard in the city would immediately come to me and just stand there and then follow me if I moved, etc.)
If you are going to use a single mod (and its not FCOM) than I would suggest Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul with Martigan's Monster mod.

[editline]09:15PM[/editline] Also, obge.
How long have you resisted the urge anyway? I've gone a week now.
About 3 months. I stopped playing because my old computer finally gave out after about 6 years of hard work. So I'm having this weird crash that i cant figure out. Whenever i go into the video section of options after i hit return the game crashes 100% of the time and its very frustrating. Anybody had a similar problem?
So, why is it that most quest mods disable Deadly Reflex? [editline]07:43PM[/editline] I'm guessing it has something to do with the load order?
So, why is it that most quest mods disable Deadly Reflex? [editline]07:43PM[/editline] I'm guessing it has something to do with the load order?
Set deadly reflex to load last in the load order in the mod manager. Should work if that's what you're asking about.
I thought I would have to load it first, so it takes precedence over the other mods?
Would anyone understand why I crash every time when I approach a certain Alyied Ruin / Village int he game? FCOM with various other compatible mods plus a texture and LOD mod.
Probably FCOM.
Probably FCOM.
I don't think anything is fucking with FCOM here, just FCOM itself then?
I thought I would have to load it first, so it takes precedence over the other mods?
No, things later in the load-list make changes to things loaded earlier, otherwise Oblivion.esm would take precedence over everything, which it clearly does not. Basically Higher-up means more compatibility, and lower down means more concrete changes are made.
You should ask someone else, I'm not the best when it comes to things like that. I've just heard of FCOM crashing Oblivion near Ayleid ruins. I've also noticed that bandits and such in FCOM don't respawn. I have not tested this for dungeons yet.
That load order just doesn't look quite right... did you use BOSS to sort it?
Yes sir.
How long have you resisted the urge anyway? I've gone a week now.
I doubt you'll last much longer. You can only resist the urge for so long.
Would anyone understand why I crash every time when I approach a certain Alyied Ruin / Village int he game? I think it has to do with the specific cell. Maybe it was corrupted or something.
I doubt you'll last much longer. You can only resist the urge for so long.
I'm tired of oblivion so I doubt I'll go running back to it so soon.
I'm tired of oblivion so I doubt I'll go running back to it so soon.
Yeah i felt exactly the same, but after a month or two you'll feel the urge again, and eventually you'll reinstall just on the basis of wondering what some random npcs name was.
I used to love this game. Dragon age has made me require more depth though. I'm not sure I'll enjoy it as much now that I've experienced all of the dialogues and cutscenes of Dragon Age. Still, I very much enjoyed making mods for oblivion. I feel that I would be pissing on a michellin star meal if I were to make mods for Dragon Age so I haven't done so yet.

The console key doesn't work for me, so I have to use a mod that binds it to another key, and that mod requires the script extender. Why does fallout 3 have these problems?

You can make fat, skinny, or insanely muscular NPCs, now. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29853
So am I the only one who tries to make "sets" of armor? Naming every piece following a theme and having the overall set trying to reach some sort of goal such as high elemental resistances, boosts to certain skills, or things of that nature?

It's that the file is an esm, which cannot be loaded after an esp. I can't move it, so it doesn't work.

Makes it more immersive. Not to mention that if you do it right you 're practically a god when wearing the armor due to the bonuses it might provide.
