I really wish they would make one more jak and daxter game for the ps3. Just imagine how badass it would be...
Yeah, in fact looking at it, i think i must be a ND fanboy. Favourite PS1 game series - Crash bandicoot Favourite PS2 game series - Jak & Daxter Favourite PS3 game series - Uncharted
You're not a fanboy, ND just makes awesome games.
Great series, but the racing game and lost frontier were shit
I think they wouldn't fit in, taking that sequels took place in future. Probably most were collected by other people. But thats my theory.
True, but I still kind of miss them.... :smith:
The only Jak and Daxter game I've ever played was the Daxter spin-off for the PSP. I need to get ahold of the other ones, but I don't have a PS2 anymore.
Compared to the real games, that's absolutely nothing.
I LOVED the Jak and Daxter series. However in the first one I got every single little egg orb thing except one, which just taunted me by being horrifcally close but unreachable all the same. I remember spending like 6 months of my 9 year old life trying to get it. I don't remember much of those months. Just anger and the rest is blurry.
Where was it?
I don't remember it was so long ago. I will have to buy the games again. However I think a vehicle was involved somehow.

I only played Jak II Fucking awesome game.
Fucking yes. Jak 3 was so amazing
I only played Jak II Fucking awesome game.
It was the only one in the series, as in the main trilogy, that i could never beat. I think the mission i got stuck on was some bike mission where you had to deliver something within a timelimit and inside one of the restricted zone thingies, but i dont really know, its an ungodly long time since i played these games.
The difficulty curve in this series was obscene. Jak & Daxter, easy, very simple game, not much to kill you but the bottomless pits. Jak II, HOLYSHITIAMDYINHELPME moments, especially in the last few acts. Jak 3, a excellent middle ground, easy enough, but still a challenge if you didn't think it through a bit.
Yeah. Jak II gave me a fuck ton of trouble. Worth it in the end though, I felt so damn proud. Jak 3's final boss was really epic.
I liked the Leaper things in Jak 3. I collected them and gave each names (at the end of the game you could free-roam).
fuckin' loved this game, but once when i was a kid i had this friend and when i would be playing he would persuade me into thinking the citizens were rebels in Jak 2 if you survived long enough, Oh the memories!
I liked the Leaper things in Jak 3. I collected them and gave each names (at the end of the game you could free-roam).
Was sad you couldn't ride 'em to the desert :frown:
These games gave me serious headaches trying over and over again the same missions, but fucking worth it. Jak II is the best in my opinion, loved every single bit of it. Jak & Daxter was fucking fun, I didn't enjoy III as much as II, but fun nonetheless. Damn, now I want to play them again.
I always pretty much breezed through both Jak 2 and 3, but the 50% missions for both were fucking almost impossible for me (the on rails shooter section and the pac-daxter section)
I played Jak II once, had lost my memory card so I did a full night play up to the cross-city delivery mission (where you deliver a package to Kiera although you don't know it's her yet). Barely won the mission, my bike was about to wreck. And then I decided to quit. It was painful to choose whether or not to keep my PS2 on or turn it off because I couldn't save. Eventually I chose to turn it off. :saddowns:
I pretty much completed Jak 2, only had about 3 orbs left to get and that would have been everything. Did anyone manage to get the alternate costume in Jak 2? I always wondered what it looked like.

Oh god oh man oh god oh man.... God that fishing minigame pissed me off. :v:
why does everyone keep saying that jak II was hard I found it really easy all the way through
Compare it to any other game in the series. It is hard. By itself it isn't too hard, but compared to the first especially, as it is a sequel, the difficulty is obscene. It wasn't as hard as it could have been, but it had parts where it was annoyingly trial and error based.
Really good series, too bad it had to die.
Never played any Jak games even though Crash Bandicoot 2, 3, and CTR are my favorite Playstation games while Uncharted 2 may be my favorite PS3 game. Should probably at least pick up the first some time, although I have a shit ton of other games I own that I've never finished (got like 30 games during those recent Steam sales from Christmas and Black Friday)
Ah shit, the catacombs gives me some good memories.... And some bad.
Really good series, too bad it had to die.
The series ended contently with pretty much everything being resolved. Jak X was a continuation but only barely, mostly just a game for fun. Lost Frontier might as well be a seperate series, though.
Used to be my favourite games. They'll always hold a special place in my heart.
