yeah, that was pretty disheartening. i understand the hate for chinese style and all but that was just stupid
It's just that people are out of touch with the Chinese teams. If Orange or Zenith were in iG's place, people would probably be cheering for them since they speak English and are loved by the community.
I missed the finals but I judging from your guys posts they weren't that good. Just anderson

It's not chinese style when you pull out a Disruptor.
I think that lgd vs Navi stole the whole show. Best game of TI2 imo.
So much hype. So many big plays.
I fell asleep during the 2nd round in the Grand Finals, clearly this is the reason Na'Vi lost and I'm very sorry.

NaVi won game 2.
So what happened? Navi pulled Nyx last game? How was it?
Maybe I'm crazy but the crowd was chanting "IG" to the same tune everyone was chanting "NAVI" earlier.
Oh my God some people actually think that there was a conspiracy for iG to win because Na'Vi got wrecked.
Honestly, Na'Vi is a good team but they lost because of their own mistakes. Even if they have a lot of hype to live up to, they can lose too.
Besides, there's a LOT of money behind iG as a team.
Does anybody have a video of the last game and where they get the thropy and stuff? Valve hasnt uploaded it yet for some reason

dat awkward silence.
Nobody with a soul wanted the Chinese to win
Nobody that isn't brainwashed by the fanboyism wanted NaVi to win.

Sure, there are fanboys, but there is no argument that exists that can show that China plays a more entertaining game. The best games of the series had those other teams from the western, Slavic, and other countries because they make the game interesting to watch. The Chinese strategy to win is so rigid that it doesn't provide any sort of worth to a spectator because the last 30mins is spent farming for assured victory.

Stop generalising, while I agree that some teams (LGD, iG sometimes, TongFu) always use the same boring picks, some of the other chinese teams are doing very well with some uncommon strats.
Let's take a look at EHOME, Tiny Wisp twice in a row, they win both games, and even outcarries Morphling, what's not to like ?

Yes, let's stop generalising and look at a minority.
Let's be fair, Ehome ran carry Tiny a lot because it's their gimmick that works. But it is a damn fun gimmick to watch, other than that pretty much every other Chinese game was lacking an audience grabber. NaVi is a fan favourite because they do ridiculous plays, and they've shown a ton of great ones throughout the tournament.
Plus everyone loves Dendi.
Didn't know the trophy was that awkward.
Every single hero was actually picked this time at least once
Anyone know which game Spiritbreaker was picked in?

No they weren't? I'm PRETTY sure no one picked Drow Ranger or Sven.

Oh you're right
This chart simply doesn't list heroes that weren't picked
I still want to know why the hell Spiritbreaker was picked though
What chart?
[sp]They won cause Na'Vi sucked, What the hell were they thinking with Nyx?[/sp]
Na`Vi for this entire tourney have been doing really fucking stupid plays. They started getting back into the groove midway and they immediately threw in the towel at the end. I mean, I can't see why they would give Dendi DK that one game. We all know he can't play DK for shit, and Puppey can't Rubick like Dendi can. Then that Nyx Assassin pick... Wow. How dumb do you have to be?
the problem was that the crowd thought na'vi would pull a rabbit out of the hat and come back 3-2 and when ig completely outplayed na'vi, they were in disbelief. although ig played boring, they also played safe and smart, you know, considering $750k was on the line.
it was pretty fucking sad to hear the crowd chanting na'vi even after ig won, super disrespectful.
I used to actually like the DotA community, even with all it's assholes and arguing, but my god after this tourney I'm quite disgusted at the bad sportsmanship of all these people.

At first I really wanted Na`Vi to win because of how interesting they are to watch, but they were just outplayed during the finals and do not deserve any trophy for that kind of play. It wasn't even interesting either.

Because he's actually a very good hero?
Well, one thing I know for sure. Na'vi fucking lost it themselves. I was cheering for them, and wanted them to win, but when I saw they ran naga and DS, I lost a little respect for them. I knew it wouldn't work out. Naga isn't that ace-in-the-hole free win that they thought it was. They should have ran their more creative strategies, not the cheesy bullshit that they did.
They fucked themselves over with still running the naga and DS, even though it never worked. The thing about it is, you have the naga and DS, but you don't have a tide or fuck, even a treant if tide gets banned out. Enigma kept getting banned quickly, and that's where they should have just rethought the stupid strategy.
iG was the better team, na'vi made stupid mistakes and the chinese quickly saw through them and countered them hard. That disruptor pick completely fucked them over.

Watching this honestly makes me feel bad.
And from the first game I watched of IG I never wanted them to win!
But fuck man... That's a harsh crowd.
Also, to be honest, after seeing IG team interviews, I even started to like them more.
They seemed like humans, not Chinese DotA machines.

Theres a reason why hes almost always one of the first bans in reverse cm
