It'd probably be paid very little attention. Somebody might post it and be like "Just found this pretty terrible mod released on ModDB, the developers think it's great," but people wouldn't be reacting as intensely. The game we're seeing costs real money and rips off L4D2 shamelessly (albeit legally). So the developers shutting down criticism is rather insulting to us, because they're insulting Valve's credibility and by extension, ours.

Probably not, it would likely have flown under the radar. But since the developers wanted to charge $20 for this thing and are ignoring so many criticisms of their game, it's a whole different story.

Nope, validgaming played it with the devs and took photos of them playing. Which is really suspect in itself anyway.
The tribe enemies in this game are normal people just trying to sacrifice you to their god. I literally just hit dialogue that tells me this.
You people do understand that by buying this game you encourage the company to make more games like this, right?
