At this point, I'm willing to bet it is just because they're the friendliest fucking company on the Earth. We're talking about a company run by a guy who once bought 10,000 Southern Hospitalities in TF2 so the creator of the model could make a decent amount of money off it.
I'm pretty sure they don't give a fuck and are just letting it slip by so the devs can make cash, even though they don't deserve it.
I'm still waiting till one of the developers make an account here to praise the game and call us 'haters' and 'trolls'.

It would make sense, but IMO that would be a pretty dumb move on Valve's part because then lots of game developers would come knocking at valves door wanting to release their (probably mostly shitty) games on steam.

Where do I begin.
All this nude texture BS reminds me of bethesda with oblivion, they wanted to include nude characters int he game when you looted their shit, but they wanted to get a T rating so they took away the nudity but still left the files in the game and that way oblivion ended up getting a M rating even on consoles where it's impossible to mod the game to use the nude textures :v:

Just to clarify, Valve does not playtest and review the games that get released on Steam, anyone can get games on Steam as long as they meet certain requeriments. All they do is tweak the code to integrate it with Steam.
As such, games like this one, Gettysburg Armoured Warfare, many of the games released under Paradox's publishing, etc get released on Steam in awful stages, full of bugs and incomplete.
Valve does not really care much about the state or quality of the games that get released on the store. You can get your games on their store as long as you fulfill their policies.
TB stated this in one of his mailboxes talking about Magicka or Sins of a solar empire 2, I believe, and TB knows his shit.

Even the modding community has some standards. There's a reason mods like Minerva: Metastasis and No More Room in Hell are praised by the community, they are actually good examples of mods, they have had work put into them and are probably on par with a commercial product (well, Minerva certainly is mapping wise).
There would be slightly more praise if this was released as a free mod. But there would still be a lot of negativity as the game itself is just broken. The idea isn't that great. And the implementation looks to be atrocious. The level design is bland, the texture work is dull, the models are all kinda awful, the animations especially so. The only remotely unique concept is the "weapon", and that's a piece of shit too anyway.
Duty Calls is better than this piece of shit.
The weapon is so boring. A weapon should have a grand sound, like a giant "[B]KASPLOWEE[/B]" instead of a sound like "[I]phgew[/I]", like I'm shooting fucking peas.

I love how devs can make a game where you can kill whoever you want, but if you show one nipple it's the end of the world.
