I can't say that I'm naive because I had a different opinion on the game than the other devs.

How about this, would you call this first foray into game development a success? What advice would you have for others who are developing games (self included, although mine is in very early prototyping - I have an engine. I have some concept art. I have a Design Document. That's about it).

Learning new things and re-doing a lot of work. We are now in the process of re-doing it for the fourth time.

My best advice would be "Don't take anything personal" You may have something that you think is awesome but other people will say they don't like it. So keep in mind that you will have to re-do work. :)

They like the game more than I did. I'm picky about the games I play.

That is very true. There are people being hired onto Riot games with no schooling but they are good at what they do.

Because it was made off of L4D's engine. A rookie mistake, since when you start a mod all the content is still in there. Just not usually usable. It seems they just forgot to delete it.
They aren't stealing, it's a licensed Source game. Now granted, there's a lot of features from L4D that they just straight didn't improve on at all, but it's far from stealing.

One full day with Valid Gaming. We also had a lot more beta testers but they weren't that helpful.
