CSS is the SECOND most popular game on Steam. So you were right, it wasn't CSS but it kind of was at the same time since it's CS which is almost the same thing.

I personally consider CS and CSS pretty much the same game. If you add the total number of CSS players, the numbers far outweigh any other online game. AT the same time, I don't truly understand the immense popularity. It is a great game, and very skill-oriented, sure. But, in my opinion, there are some better options, like TF2.

Yeah, when I am referring to CSS I just say "Counter Strike". There's no point in making any distinction. And I think I should say, those stats in the image are accurate as of today only. CSS might be more popular tomorrow.
So if you count CSS and CS players TOGETHER then you get this:
CS Players: 80,714
CSS Players: 75,826
= Total Amount: 156,540
