The models are fine but they shouldn't be 1/3rd of the screen. It's L4D2 all over again.
Let's hope there's someway to change the FOV w/o sv_cheats.
I must be the only person who actually likes the viewmodels/animations. I really don't care if my gun is taking 1/3 of the screen, if the gun feels good to me, I love it.... and you gave to admit... those animations look pretty satisfying.
When did it become acceptable for soldiers in games to carelessly and effortlessly toss around a gun which weighs a significant amount of weight as if it weighed nothing? Not only that, the animations are stiff and un-life like. As previously stated, it's L4D2 all over again. Whoever they hired to do HL2's and CSS's animations at least made them fluid and believable, even if they were inaccurate. L4D2's and CS:GO's animations were done by someone else who needs to be fired or reassigned to a different task.
I feel like they have removed some details at inferno that made inferno inferno.
As long as they keep the bells it's fine by me. I love making little tunes with those things.
-snip- edit: Or I'm just being an idiot.
Seems there adding medals to csgo. those aren't achievements Medal's and achievements will both be there.
Those are the achievement icons.

I'll take unrealistic reloading animations any day instead of realistic/tactical ones. They are just more fun to watch for me. I play games to get away from realism really... I do agree about L4D2 though, I always wished they had the same movement animations that L4D1 had. The non moving pistols were annoying too.

The L4D2 and CS:GO animations seem more exaggerated, a little more excessive or 'unrealistic' for visual flare/flavor. It all comes down to opinion and preference, but then personally i'm not picky. v:v:v
I'd prefer animations similar to css with the accuracy of the gun models in cs:go and l4d2 (aka racking bolt is on the right) or maybe use some community animations, i've seen some mighty fine animations on fpsbanana

It is a sad day when you find that Source has been updated to the point where it won't run on your PC anymore.
Anyone else think they should add in a subtle reference to leet world? Probably been said a shitton before.
It is a sad day when you find that Source has been updated to the point where it won't run on your PC anymore.
Are you sure, that the issue is not in the game itself? :v: *cough Team Fortress 2 cough*
Are you sure, that the issue is not in the game itself? :v: *cough Team Fortress 2 cough*
I'm sure. I can run HL2 just fine and get ~40fps, TF2 used to be the same until they added multiple times the amount of content it started with, and Portal ran okay. It started around the time L4D came out, when Valve said "Hey lets make our engine better! First step: Remove ability to play games in DX8.1". Now I can't run stuff like Portal 2 and CS:GO.

Most certainly with dx11 becoming the standard along with dx12 thats currently in development. When I found out that they removed dx8 it didn't suprise me, if Source is to keep up with the other engines like Unreal it has to ditch its older tech and adopt newer tech thats on offer. Portal 2 put that to good use.

And older DX-levels are also easier to exploit, which makes sense on why some people wanted valve to keep them. (Exploiting = profit, Exploits fixed / removed = sad panda.)

I went eurogamer and got a CS go beta.... the lady had a stack of cards full of codes... thinking back on it now I wish I just snatched it off her D:
Are the weapons in this game very loud compared to the rest of the game? I had to turn my speakers down quite a bit just so the weapons weren't too loud. It turns out I can barely hear the bomb beeping when I turned it down that low. Although, I believe Left 4 Dead 2 is quite loud in some parts too; I don't play that game much so I can't remember. (And that damn frying pan in Team Fortress 2 too...)

One last thing that makes it quite obvious is CS:S hand rig on all those, not CS:GO.
You can actually mod in new weapons in csgo? This is going to be lovely or really bad.
You can actually mod in new weapons in csgo? This is going to be lovely or really bad.
No you can't mod in new weapons. All he did was download models off of FPSB and used those models for the existing weapons that didn't have any view models.
CSGO open beta confirmed in new year. Whether that means early Jan or 'sometime' in 2012, i don't know :( EDIT: Here's an idea i want your opinions on. People are saying 10 molotovs on a map (5v5) would be too much. They are also saying they want 2xFlashbangs. Solution for molo: People have to choose between HE and molotov (prices still apply). Less molos on map overall since people like HE. Solution for flash: You can have only 3 of the remaining grenades, with a limit of 2 on flashbangs. This lets people choose the standard grenade setup (1HE,2FL,1SM) but can mix things up by exchanging HE for molo and a flash for a decoy etc. Another idea: The kreig/bulpup (or whatever they're called) zoom is really bad in CSS, and i imagine they are going to copy it in CSGO. What if they stuck an ACOG scope on it and instead of some lame zoom in, you get a proper scope. Hip fire accuracy would be uneffected obviously. This could offer a viable alternative to the standard M4/AK and would make it more appealing to the console players? I dunno. Agrees/disagree for nades. Artistic/dumb for scope. Thanks
"or whatever they're called" I have no idea whats its called :X. AUG rings a bell however.
I wasn't meaning to correct you, I was merely using the correct name and then stating the name you were obviously more familiar with to clarify what I was referring to
I wasn't meaning to correct you, I was merely using the correct name and then stating the name you were obviously more familiar with to clarify what I was referring to
Fair enough, i was playing earlier and thats the name that it said in the buy menu. However i know that it's not the correct name IRL. @t h e: Yeah i hope it's different tbh.

(It would be interesting to play CS with two smokes. You can for example, when defusing, smoke yourself and the place you know the enemies are. I think three smokes is an overkill, though.
