VALVe really should bring back func_vehicle. I don't care if it looks buggy and awkward, the old vehicle-based 1.6 maps like Jeepathon were so fun to play and it'd be a shame if they left it out of CSGO as well.

Same, I've taken to completely redoing my CS:S maps. Currently, my project is an Embassy. It's multi-floor with some offices, fairly lavish, and will play in the hostage gametype. I'm trying to make it more of a tactical map so I'm adding multiple entry points from the exterior of the building so CT's can decide if they want to just blow the doors open and go offensive, or open up air ducts to drop down from the ceiling, and strategic sniping positions to utilize stealth.
If there are ze servers I hope they don't play fucking Mako reactor over and over again it isn't even a good map ffs
This game reminded me of how much you will comparatively suck at cs games if you don't play at least once a day.

I totally agree, It should either be dragged and dropped straight from 1.6, glitchy as hell as it was back then, or they should smooth it out and make it work. If they leave it out i'll be so sad!

Sure, there are planes and trains you can make with func_tracktrain but... it's just not the same as driving your very own jeep, running over people and possibly dying spontaneously due to physics derps :(

But I agree, it looks so much better, I hope they have a system so we can input our own skins/playermodels for maps, in case we have a map that doesn't fit the current theme. That would open the doors for all sorts of crazy bullshit.
All-in-all, I'm just happy we're getting a better quality Counter-Strike. I hope this pushes players toward putting some effort into their maps. Good god how tired I am of seeing fullbright amateur pukemaps on rotation in large servers. The excuse is that they play well without lowering FPS, but that's complete crap. You can make a map look excellent without effecting the player's framerate much at all. I mean of course the Counter-Strike community is pretty fucking retarded in general, but it's still frustrating to me.

It seems like majority of the people in the beta are from FP. Every game I go into I see someone who is using the same name and avatar on these forums and their Steam account.

nope. In cs:go they can be changed without sv_cheats.
Does autoexec.cfg work by default in CS:GO? I tried putting the viewmodel changes there, but had to reload the file for the settings to apply.
I don't even need to do that, it remembers the viewmodel settings for me.
So.. what's new?
