Use puppy dog eyes in text form.
Screen shake being added (and maybe recoil changes too) next patch!

I hope they don't add strawberry jam blood.
Anyone want to trade an extra beta for a Super Monday Night Combat beta?
Anyone want to trade an extra beta for a Super Monday Night Combat beta?
I say this on behalf of everyone, ever: No.
I hope they don't add strawberry jam blood.
I wouldn't mind a neat reddish vignette like Tribes has, obviously togglable.
make serious sam like blood and gibs.
Maybe now I can now play with different people, seriously ever time I joined a server it would be with the same people I played with another day or earlier that day. It felt like me and these other players were all trapped in this box and forced to play with each other forever :v: god its horrible
Happens to me as well.
Can those with Beta Keys tell me if CS:GO is really different enough for people to make the switch from CS or CS:S, or is it too early to tell?
I think it's different enough. There's a great graphical improvement and I see people using different guns rather than just M4 and AKs. I can't speak for everyone, though.
How can you set up a server or game overall with a password? I want to play alone with a friend against bots, to get used to everything.
Can those with Beta Keys tell me if CS:GO is really different enough for people to make the switch from CS or CS:S, or is it too early to tell?
In my opinion it is more like CS:S right now. I dont like it ATM. The weapons are very unbalanced and they fucked with the AWP.
But that shit can be fixed by adjusting some vars. The thing I am most worried for is the level of detail. When you walk through a map you want to be able to spot guys super fast. If not; snipers would be overpowered as they can camp with now problem of killing you. Also I think they could adjust the prices a bit. And give the goddam M4A1 (see what I did there?) the silencer. Jeesus.
To make CS 1.6 players move to CS:GO they need better movement (we talk less natural, more cs like). CS is not intended to be super-realistic. Rather its a mix of strategy and FPS, making the graphics and realism one of the most least important criteria. (Think about it, how can you jump peek with a super-heavy sniper, and why is the AK more accurate then the M4? And why doesn't the grenade kill in a single hit? And why the hell do the CTs have to use pistols in first round? IRL they would have "full equipment" in first round; every round) The reason? It is like that so that the game is competively playable. By that term I mean very high, open, but still tight skill sealing. There should be a lot of things you can be good at in the game, and it should take some time to get good at the game. This high skill cap will also make the game evolve over time, something that made CS to the super-popular competitive game that it has been for more then 10 years.
Lets look at pong: There is very low skill sealing (skill cap) because you can only be good at one thing; to get that ball sent back into a tricky position for the enemy to catch. In comparison, if we look at CS 1.6, you can be good to a ton of things: Movement (a big thing with many sub-skills), Aiming, Teamwork, Economy control, Strategy, Proper nade/flash, Smoke nade spots, Spam spots, Map knowledge, Timing, Reaction, Proper rotation, Strafing (movement, but very impotent), Proper use of Sound, Walking instead of running in some cases, Crouching when you should, Shoulder-Peeking, Preaiming, Scanning
One of the things that differ CS 1.6 from CS:S is for example the movement which is really important. The CS 1.6 fans say that CS:S have less crisp movement. And in CS:GO the movement is a lot worse and this makes our skill-sealing lower and a lot more random (in CS:S a noob will have a lot of trouble killing me, while in CS:GO he can kill me maybe 10% more of the times).
Edit: And about valve making us use other guns: If they want us to use different guns, they must see that only the best of the best guns would be used in competitive. Therefore, the total arsenal will be very small in competitive play. However, by pricing the AK at 2900$ the Galil can be used a bit more (some teams use it a lot already though). Also they can make the Scout a lot cheaper; at least cheaper then AK. (2400$ may be optimal)

Will we finally have killstreaks on Cs ?
Will we finally have killstreaks on Cs ?
are you serious

if that was a joke that's a terrible one

It already does, unless you're very bad. Killstreak rewards however, are not and will never be added.
Man the anticipation for the next update is killing me. I hope they fix the recoil.
Pistols seem to dominate everything else ATM

Can you elaborate more on how they changed the AWP?
Can you elaborate more on how they changed the AWP?
Yeah sure.
The AWPs corsshair will blur when in motion. This is useless. As I said; there are so many unrealistic aspects of the game that adding this kind of aspect to the game is ridiculous. Therefore it is no use in adding that effect to the game.
Another thing they changed is that zooming in with the AWP is even faster. If you want CS 1.6 players to prefer it; make it a bit slower then in source.
Generally speaking the AWP is a bit to easy to kill people with: And I dont mean in pubbing. I am talking about competitive play. (I saw a pro match were they used the AWP a lot; a lot more then in a normal match).

;)
I think they made the awp crosshair blur while scoped when moving is to make it difficult for AWPers. I've always seen AWPs as overpowered (they're probably not, im just shit with them) it just adds difficulty to using it the way I see it

Many think awp is OP. But i doubt any of the pro's does. If you hit you kills them 95% of times. It does like over 400 damage in the head. But it gets even out in a 5v5 competetive match. If a whole team uses awp they would probably loose if they gets enemy in close range. Thats why there usally only one or two awpers on a team.

the blue of the crosshair while moving does absolutely nothing at all, its hardly a difficulty increase
the blue of the crosshair while moving does absolutely nothing at all, its hardly a difficulty increase
So why does it matter? Personally, I think it makes it distracting and can somewhat obscure your view. That seems like a difficulty increase, even if it's tiny.
Awps have many downsides to them
They have a distinctive sound. This might make a player move around more. I find it more thrilling to play against an awp player, Where one wrong move can mean instant death.
Often it's the case where you miss and you are fucked
They slow the player
They are costly
Awps are fine
The only thing that bothers me is that there seems to be a loss of function in the single zoom. Im fairly sure that in css you could hold the rmb down and you would come out of zoom when you release. I don't like double tapping out all the time.
How to win with the Awp:
Practise Aim
zoom, shoot, 3, 1, zoom, shoot
How to counter the Awp:
Get Better Reaction Time
walk, turn corner, shoot, impulse 201
How to win with the Awp:

zoom, shoot, q, q, zoom, shoot
A bit easier.
A bit easier.
faster with num keys imo
