Less and less with every update, but yeah they're still generally put off by the changes.

No. CS pros understand that a new game is important for the game to survive. The sponsorship is really important; and for instance, playing 1.6 on a intel i7 is just stupid.
Maybe some professional cs 1.6 players hate the game, but not most of them.

I've noticed that there's no flashlight in GO, or maybe I have it bound to something else.

It looks like that's for the Xbox 360 version as it's referencing Avatars. The Marketplace is probably just referring to the Xbox Live Marketplace.
I doubt that there's going to be a cosmetic store, considering that those 2 lines are the only mention of one (as far as I know).

Well obviously a Source game would be compatible with a Source map, it's just that we don't have all the assets necessary for mapping completely with CS:GO.
