They should remake some highly popular community Gun Game maps from 1.6 and CSSource and make them official if you ask me. Some of them have quite a brilliant layout and would work perfectly in CSGO.
Valve has been pretty good about keeping the names of the original maps, but I'm wondering if Balkan is a renamed version of Vostok, considering there are a ton of Vostok models in the game files.
i'm looking for a beta key, does anyone want to trade one for something? i have Payday: The Heist on Steam and a shitload of rare TF2 items, plus a copy of The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition on gog.com :)

Yeah but de_lake specific models are in a de_boathouse folder so I guess Valve don't bother to change the directory names.
Is there a smart strategy in putting props in map folders- Or is it just lazyness?
I would have thought that they put things in folders like "explosions" or "fences" or "cars" or "rocks" etc for EVERYTHING. (they do it to some extent now)

Lots of old names are referenced in the files, like Vietnam for Shoots, Shacks for St. Marc, and Tibet for the upcoming Monastery.

I noticed a skybox fuckup in Dust2. If you go to bomb site A and look towards the southwest you can see the top half of a building, hovering in midair. What the hell :v:
I also noticed some other bugs like a dead body randomly jittering upwards for a split second (scared the hell out of me) and a water splash particle appearing instead of a blood splatter when someone is shot, on the occasion.
Why can't I hit anyone for shit? Any way I shoot, I just don't hit them.
Also, I like how you can shoot through some metal now.
And who also thinks weapons need a bit more visual recoil?
I could hit plenty up until they added the visual recoil.

The screen shake could be a bit stronger, but my main issue with the recoil is the lack of grouping.

umm no, they don't. CS still has a lot of money and sponsorship in it, not as much as earlier in its life, but still plenty, and it will continue until a good/better competitive game comes out, not just a game with better graphics.

So I've changed headphones since my old set broke- but I've noticed something. Audio quality is shit apparently, compared to my old headphones, but these ones are fine. I've tried setting the audio settings from "2 Speakers" to "Headphones" but it keeps reverting back. Is this a common bug? Cause the sound quality is absolute crap like this and it irritates me.
It probably resets with every update

bullets don't group together aka each shot is random now.

there is no difference... getting a "key" and getting an invite is exactly the same thing because no one gets "keys" they just get the game added to their library and some giftable invites. theres no code or "key"
