I think they should at least try to get DX10 or maybe 11 up, if only to gain from the perf improvements that come along with it

Every Friday. I got mines last Friday so they're definitely still sending them out.

I think they should keep DX9 support, but add support for DX10 and DX11's features. Kinda how Crysis 2 did.

There is a file called moddefaults.txt (or something like that) in the cfg folder of the game. Some people say that they were able to run the game by altering it but i haven't succeeded in it myself.
All we can do is hope that the next update will help us.

There was a paper from valve that talked about how tesselation really interested them because it would allow them to just make one model and not bother with LODs

But the sounds don't slow down then, it is a scripted animation so any "slow" bits were a result. I'm pretty sure the timescale isn't altered at any point.

This guy is not telling the truth. I have to do nothing for like 7 days so mine is worse.
I miss the Assassination gamemode from 1.6, I wish they would bring back the as_ gameplay.
