The weapon models look really wonky, at least CS:S felt somewhat consistent, with this it looks like half the models were ripped straight from L4D2 and the rest were thrown together in no time.

I know it's a beta, but still...

I guess thats what replacing models is for.

I just wonder how far this game can be improved with new gamemode scripts like gungame and WC3, i also wonder how hard it will be to kill people like it is in CS:S.

I do some volunteer work for Valve called Steam Translation Server, I was lucky enough to get a key directly from a Valve employee for doing "work" there.

It's a lot more than that. Between the new weapons, new models, new maps, and a bunch of other things coming, it's really looking more like a dwarfed sequel to Source.

Well, by the looks of it, it's the same core game but with more fluff. At least, i've got dota 2 to look forward to.

If you think about it, it's like Starcraft to Starcraft 2 - not much different, but with balance and mechanic tweaks along with a handful of new content, it changes a lot of the deeper details of the gameplay like strategies and such while still seeming the 'same' on the surface to those who don't bother with that and just play to play.

Of course, in this case the technological jump between CS:S and CS:GO isn't as large as SC to SC2.
