Counter Strike : Global Offensive Beta - Games

CS:GO is almost certainly going to have map-dependent factions, including both classic factions and new ones. In terms of the classic factions (from 1.6 and CS:S), SAS, Arctic Avengers, and Guerrilla Warfare are missing.

CS:GO has brilliant visual optimization, wish I could say the same about the lag prediction, has anyone else noticed problems trying to kill players with high pings? Seems every game I join the guy with the worst connection is always leading the boards. Could this be a remainder of the cross-platform MP?

As for the Arctic Avengers, I thought they were already in the game, next to the Elite Crew and the Phoenix Connexion. But if they are indeed making new factions, I hope they make a faction of ruthless African militants.

I've never wanted a beta key so bad. CS:GO looks awesome.

They dont have strict deadlines, and have good work hours etc etc. Also, I bet you that it'd be a good opportunity. Turtle rock was bought halfway through production of L4D, and the transition went well. They even got a cabal (work team) to port 1.6 to Source. I'm betting VALV[SUP]E[/SUP] buys Hidden Path sometime in the future. Means more people to make games, thus meaning slightly faster production cycles. (Possibly) *End super off-topic monologue*

Anyone got a key?! Ill just hand over an alt account I have... Its just got COD MW 1 - 3 Some valve games ... DoDs Plus it has RAGE and Skyrim. Dont play any of those anymore and i really wouldnt mind giving that account up for a key hahah

I was expecting it to be the same price as Portal 2; this is certainly a pleasant surprise. Even the low price of $15 is unlikely to be enough to persuade the scum who play on a pirated copy of 1.6, though.
