Hmm, I think playing CS:GO has improved my skill at CS in general. I went back to CSS to test how good I am and I went from going 1/10 to 5/7 or so. Still not very good but I've noticed a drastic improvement.
CS:GO makes you go to the head and actually pause your fire, else the bullets will go an inch over their heads and completely miss :v:

Given that I've played CS:S since a year after it's release, the stopped until like 7 months ago, I have a good amount of time to prep for CS:GO and eventually say temporary goodbyes to CS:S. I'll probably go back and play it once in a while, like many people do with 1.6. Sequels will never replace the game before them in my opinion.

I didn't know that its possible on source. I wish new HL have some of these (in Xen for example).
Can't wait for today's huge update :D!
Can't wait for today's huge update :D!
Chet said its most likely not going to be ready today.
Chet said its most likely not going to be ready today.
Nah, he said he doesn't know if it will be ready for this week/today.
Chet said its most likely not going to be ready today.
Fuck.
What big update?
What big update?
At E3, Chet mentioned they have BIG changes coming to the sound options in CS:GO. He seemed really excited about it. Plus, we can expect the usual bug fixes, and maybe some new stuff, like the Pirate T skin.
The big change is the ability to choose which bot voice you want to use.
The big change is the ability to choose which bot voice you want to use.
I'm guessing more than that, that isn't exactly mind blowing :v:
I'm guessing more than that, that isn't exactly mind blowing :v:
It's pretty mind blowing if you've heard the same bot voices for like a kabillion years.
'Get out of there it's gonna BLOW!'
"Go go go!" :zoid:
Where are all the music files located?
In the music folder inside pak01_dir, and some is in the sound folder.

And they did do a good job with it, although the animations feel odd... But nothing bad. You know, kinda like how when Dota2 gets new heroes? That big. Either way, can't wait to see whats coming. [editline]9th June 2012[/editline]
The big change is the ability to choose which bot voice you want to use.
You mean, between the old voices and those someone found that had the chatty terrorists? Oh man those would be good. And maybe a "create game" tab like the one in source, to edit certain aspects of games you create, like money, time, weapon restrictions and so on. I know they made those pre-sets for rounds, but I'd like that too.
Oh god, the Negev is amazing. Well, I love it anyway, seem to be doing pretty well with it.
these guys during the valve mocap scene, they were working on a promo for CS:GO. Looks good.
lately i haven't been seeing a lot of arms race servers. just about 4 or 5 every time i get on, and most are empty or full of bots. around 3/5 of the classic/competitive servers were dust/dust 2 maps, and 3/4's of each team had AWP's equipped. this is what I've gathered up every time i went on CS:GO

I sure hope CS:GO wont get any hat bullshit of any kind.
I sure hope CS:GO gets that some bullshit like hats or something.
If anything I just hope they let you choose between different style helmets (like the one's seen on those balkan terrorists).
I couldn't resist...
wait WAIT The models have mouth internals? MAYBE LIP SYNCING IS GOING TO BE PART OF THE NEW RADIO COMMANDS [editline]9th June 2012[/editline] Or facial expressions depending on what you're doing, like BF3 or TF2.

At least it looks better than my first attempt with CSS :pwn: ..actually, this one has the potential to be worse since I made the tongue posable...
How can I play/learn to play without being brutally murdered? Bots are too unpredictable to be like real players
Is there any way to turn off the Dynamic Lighting? I finally got the beta and the game's playable, but I'm getting 11 FPS average.
How can I play/learn to play without being brutally murdered? Bots are too unpredictable to be like real players
Just keep playing, learn from experience.
Just keep playing, learn from experience.
Well what's up with the weapon spread? It makes absolutely no sense to me [editline]9th June 2012[/editline] It seems like I can waste a full clip on someone when I'm standing still and they'll headshot me in 3 bullets, and the killcam says they took no damage
