well the taser is a short-range humiliation weapon, why not add a long range one?
People will probably bitch enough as it is about an insta-kill weapon in close range. Joke / non-lethal or not, making a long-ranged equivalent would be a nuisance. And if it wasn't insta-kill (or even just pathetic damage), then there'd be no reason to get it over the AWP aside from possibly being cheaper, making it on useless side of things. v:v:v

I really hope they add some type of third-person gamemode setting. Playing CS:S with an OTS view was so awesome.
alias view1 "bind q view2;cam_idealdistright -15"; alias view2 "bind q view1;cam_idealdistright 15";bind q view1; thirdperson; cam_idealdistright 15; cam_idealdist 30; cam_idealdistup -25;
Toss that in the console and it sets your view to over-the-shoulder, binds your q key to swap shoulders.
there goes all hope of this being released early 2012, if updates take this long. Srsly it's been 2 months
So is it just CS:S with a terminal case of consolitas?
Bullets go where gun points. Not in a cone where the camera points. I'd say that's a major step forwards tbh.
So is it just CS:S with a terminal case of consolitas?
Did you even read the thread? At all? People keep asking the same damned question, and if they were intelligent enough to actually read about the game first they'd know that it's still absolutely nothing like most console games
It doesn't even have auto aim on console.
The big thing imo with CS:GO is that body health has been toned down a lot. You're no longer a tank at your torso. Even with full kevlar, bodyshots are a very viable (and often necessary) option. Also, Seems like a console command but not sure if it's actually going to be used or added.
Looks pretty awkward. If you tried to aim with that in CS you'd be dead before you could get a shot off anyway.
It doesn't even have auto aim on console.
We don't know that yet, it might for all we know, though I hope it doesn't
i thought there wasn't going to be any auto-aim, or any advantages for the console versions because of the console + pc gameplay, and in general there's just no advantage
We don't know that yet, it might for all we know, though I hope it doesn't
I played it on Xbox, there was no aim assist or "magnetism".
We don't know that yet, it might for all we know, though I hope it doesn't
Nope it's already been confirmed to not be in the PS3 version, because of the cross platform play.
Nope it's already been confirmed to not be in the PS3 version, because of the cross platform play.
Yeah, I forgot before, I don't know why I said that
Ah god damnit I want a key for this so bad.
Ah god damnit I want a key for this so bad.
I've heard that people are getting keys for translating something. Here: http://translation.steampowered.com/ I'm still waiting for my approval if I even will be approved.
The only other language I know is Spanish and Steam seems pretty damn good in that compartment. Thanks for showing me that though, been curious about the statistics.
;34632967']I've heard that people are getting keys for translating something. Here: http://translation.steampowered.com/ I'm still waiting for my approval if I even will be approved.
"Pirate: 29%" holy shit i found something to do for the next few months.
I really wish they would improve the animations for Counter-Strike. TF2's animations are great, they look natural and feel natural. Counter-strike's is just odd and looks weird.
I agree with you on Counter-Strike's weaponry needing an animation update, but Team Fortress 2? There's still a huge number of weapons/items (Mostly from unnecessary promotions) that have a lot of clipping issues.

TF2's looks smooth and natural for most weps. None of CS:S do.
Am I the only one who love the Krieg reload animation in CS 1.6?
Yea, TF2 does have many clipping issues, but I'm making more of a fuss over the animations. TF2's looks smooth and natural for most weps. They have to re-animate the model anyways so why not make it look smooth and good? If you compare the animations they don't look the same anyways. They're definitely a step up from CS:S but they still look unnatural at times. [editline]10th February 2012[/editline] Also, is it legal to upload the music in CS:GO? Some gameplays show music playing at round ends, when the bombs planted, etc.
i wouldn't do it just to be sure
Also, is it legal to upload the music in CS:GO? Some gameplays show music playing at round ends, when the bombs planted, etc.
When the beta goes open, maybe?
