I have wait for vsync on tripple buffered and multicore rendering enabled.
Try taking off vsync, and test out multicore rendering and see how much fps is gained/dropped from it
Is there a way to make a server with friends without bots?
To anyone who has played the Beta can you tell me if GO is better than Source? I remember playing Source for hours on end in the day before they rolled out useless updates. I'm hoping to get back into Counter-strike with Global Offensive but I'd rather not be disappointed.

That's good then. I expect there to be changes. After all I'm not looking for a CS:REMASTERED Edition. This will be a great game for me play though since I don't really have any FPSs on PC that a lot of people play.
Is there a way to make a server with friends without bots?
Yeah thanks for rating me dumb, I've googled it too. It'd be nice if you told me rather than just rating me dumb.
I'm doing a test right now regarding vsync and multicore rendering. Also, why does the famas achievement have the wrong gun?
Man they stopped posting in their twitter. I wonder what happened
They're preparing for the open beta... -rainbows-
are the sounds better? I wasn't actively complaining about them but i didn't like them. Also the game.. needs something more. I can't remember that much but in previous cs could the player move faster and change directions better?
Man they stopped posting in their twitter. I wonder what happened
The're working hard is what happened. Lead dev posted on steam forums a little while ago. OK so I assume you can't create a server with friends, without bots. Would the only option be to use Hamachi or host a dedicated server so that you're the admin and are able to kick the bots? I thought there would've been an option for a number of bots/players and the option to include bots or not but either I'm blind, or it can't be done. Mainly because I'd like to make a 1v1 or 2v2 server with friends.

I'm glad HPE actually said something about the game. It's not like I've ever lost faith in them, but it's at least going to shut some mouths on SPUF. [editline]24th July 2012[/editline] Actually, if anyone is wondering why there are no updates, here's what I wrote in the same thread on SPUF. Some of this is speculation, some of this is ranting. However, the middle paragraph is based on what we've got from STS.
Jesus guys! It's not like they're going to drop updates and support after release. Both older CS games took a while to reach the current level of perfection (if we can call it a perfection). Just give them time. See what happens. Those guys are working hard to satisfy you. As far as I am informed HPE probably wants to kill as many game bugs as they can before releasing because CSGO needs to go through the console certification process (I suppose it's not as simple as adding another game on Steam). I'm a translator of the game and we received a few messages about finalizing that process - in the last two weeks we were getting single or multiple strings every day, most of them concerning the console UI. Also as far as I know the only bug fixes Valve release for their games on consoles are the major DLC additions (Microsoft policy, I'm not sure about Playstation). Today is actually the day they enter the certification process. I suppose this is a reason why there are no updates on the PC version - they're constantly internally testing the console versions so they can have less critical bugs.
[editline]24th July 2012[/editline] Link to my post, if anyone's wondering: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=31915407&postcount=41

The thing is though, a lot of people would see this as all they're doing is bug fixing and getting the console versions ready, but they're still working on gameplay. Steam forums are just so blahh, there is a very small amount of good posters, the rest think HPE/Valve doesn't care and complain about everything while making false claims.
Thanks for the information, folks. It's appreciated. The console cert process is probably why it's been on lockdown for the past several weeks. also lol @the guy saying he's stopped calling it CS.
The thing is though, a lot of people would see this as all they're doing is bug fixing and getting the console versions ready, but they're still working on gameplay.
Yeah, the gameplay is pretty obvious to me. I think we can assume that they still want to nail down the recoil, movement and this sound spatialization. Probably also visuals and CT/T voices.
If anyone is looking to give away 1 or 2 beta keys before the open beta comes out, I'd be happy to accept them.
I have a friend in India with a 2mb/s internet connection which wants to be in the cs:go beta so he could really need a beta key before the open beta stresses the steam servers for me and him to be able to play it at the-same time. I got no problems with downloading anything from steam at any stressed time so I can wait for the open beta.
How unoptimized is the game at the moment? Will it get much better later? If yes, holy balls!
For some reason I've fallen in love with sniping in this beta, in CS:S it was basically 75 hours ish of ak/m4 and nothing else
How unoptimized is the game at the moment? Will it get much better later? If yes, holy balls!
When I first played this (When it was just de_dust), the game ran magnificently and there weren't any hiccups that I encountered. Not sure if it was using CPU rendering with GPU (Quad core and GTX 260) but it was smooth. Even with molotovs being chucked around. It's been a while since I've touched this game so things may have changed!

Anyways I believe chet said in an interview that optimization comes last, so the next few updates or the final release will probably be more optimized.
what happened to the open beta
what happened to the open beta
valve time happened as always
what happened to the open beta
It's happening between pre-orders and release, date for pre-orders was around/roughly July 21st, not exactly July 21st. CS:GO was recently shown in the PSN Play 2012 promotion, along with a pic with a new model, so pre-orders are most likely coming soon.

This also means that the console versions (or at least, the ps3 version) are done with the certification process, so there will be more work towards getting open beta started and beta updates.

CS:GO was sent off to certification three days ago.
New CS:GO trailer: http://us.playstation.com/games-and-media/games/counter-strike-global-offensive-ps3.html?videoid=ps3-game-6167-v1 For some reason it didn't show up on chrome, so I just used IE instead to see it.
