How does one shoot an AK or an M4? When I burst fire at their body, the bullets miss. When I spray under them, the bullets miss.
Hey guys, I was considering buying the CSGO preorder right now but when I was about to buy the game it went like "you already own this game". So I wondered if it was just steam freaking out but when I got to the payment page I had a warning in big letters about how I wouldn't get the game even if I pay for it. I'm not sure what to do, any tips ?

You crouch and aim for the torso, let recoil bring your bullets to their head.

Don't worry about it. It's just a bug with the store currently, the game still activates fine.

What about at long range? I always seem to get 1-2 AK'ed from long range somehow.
Also does holding shift/control improve accuracy, I've heard mixed things.

Accuracy goes like this, the farther the right, the less accurate.

If you swing wildly and don't know how to control the recoil at all, you're going to be likely killed first before you shoot someone anyway. (CS:GO simplified recoil by making it go up a bit, so take that into account.) If you're walking instead of running, you'll have a bit more accuracy, and crouching really helps with that. Just be sure to fire in bursts, or use the burst fire on something like the Famas, to maximize accuracy instead of spray-and-pray; spraying should be reserved for close-quarters.

I think you can see grenades on the belt since CSS.
Armor and no armor would be too much and it wouldn't look good with some T models. They all would need to wear funky helmets!
You aim at the neck not the torso. recoil isn't that big.
I miss 3D bullet casings.

Those piss me off, I forgot the command but when you actually manage to find the command and disable it, it still tells you in some different way.
When I see a CT defusing a bomb with his knife out, the other hand of his that is just sticking out infront of him, I always see him saying "Stand the fuck back! I got this!"

I've seen one or two servers with the ability to turn it off; but the majority just makes the dialog fade away when you try to navigate through the menu.

I have been absolutely loving CS:GO so far but I am also excited to map for it. I am pretty talented with Hammer if I do say so myself but I have little experience designing maps so they are fun to play. Because of this I decided to just use maps from other games as a base and make changes as I go.
I am using Seatown from Modern Warfare as the basis and inspiration for a CS:GO map I am working on but funny enough I have never actually played Seatown and I am just going of map layout images and many videos.
These are my current plans and changes to the map so far.
Red circle is T spawn and blue circle is CT spawn.

If any of you have played MW3 and this map you might be able to imagine how it would feel. Any suggestions to fix things you didn't like about the map in MW3 and things that may make it flow better in CS:GO.

Also this whole highlighted middle area might need some revamping, because it was designed with a MW3 bomb site in mind. I don't think it will translate well into CS:GO.

These are all things you can find out through playtesting and experimenting. When you get to that stage, please keep me in mind. I'd love to help you test it.

Thats not too bad, both points are closer to CT Spawn which is a plus. Wouldnt A be too... enclosed though? That room has only two entrances, the stairs and a ladder.
Wow what an annoying bug.
Team choosing screen, can't click on ANYTHING at all and pressing escape does nothing. Only way out is task manager and end task.
