Ya know, I used to play a lot of competitive Counter-Strike a few years ago, going to lan matches and shit. No huge money matches, though. Getting a key for dat beta could get me interested in the series again, gotta see how it turns out.
I like the idea of changing the reticle, but the dot in the center REALLY needs to [sp]cs:[/sp]go.
I hope they scale down the size of the arms between now and release. They look like tree trunks.
So I won that limerick contest and got the beta now but whenever I go to play I can only select quick match and the game just closes/crashes when I click it.

Nevermind I fixed it.
I dunno the game is alright. I went in expecting it to be like source but I didn't expect it to be this much like it. It feels more like a CSS mod than a "new" CS.

I killed people with it a lot in CSS (though then again I only used it in Office)
Decided to play it since I last played it during the stress test.
1 guy with a deagle headshots all 5 of us after jumping around the corner on inferno... this is why I hate multiplayer in this CS.

The old style crosshairs are still an option if you don't like the new ones. I stick to the old ones personally.

I have a 50% off valve title coupon that I might as well get rid of before March and I think I want to get CS because some of my friends say it's great and it would be a good way for me to get ready for GO.
I figured I'd as this hear: is it worth the extra buck to get source over classic? Which has a bigger and more noob friendly community?

source has a bigger pub community and it also has a decent size competitive community (esea) and 1.6 has the bigger competitive (euro) community

I'm not really interested in the competitive community because I'm sure I'll probably suck compared to the hardcore players who got the game on launch so I think I'll get CSS. Thanks.

I know i'm going to get dumbed, but does anyone have a spare key to hand out? I've been playing the counter strike series since cs 1.5 and i've been really pumped for this game.. I wish to try it so bad, i've joined every random draw, every little contest and the official steam survey thing, but I still haven't received a key, so I come here to facepunch, to ask if one of you happens to have a spare key to hand out. I could give something in return, i'm not sure what but I probably could, if someone has a key that they're willing to gift me or trade with me, please PM me, i'd be forever grateful and in debt with you.
