but other cheat providers.. not gonna name them but that french hack has a vac protection system that crashes your game if VAC gets an update, so it's pretty much impossible for it to be detected
HANCED AYM DEDEKTED AGAYN
Anyone think it'd be a cool server option for teams to by the other team's weapons? Cause maybe sometimes, I want a galil while on CT or an M4A1 as T instead of having to scrounge for it laying on the ground
I still don't have the beta >:(

Average CS:S match
So I installed Windows 8. It decided to uninstall nearly everything on my PC. :suicide:
Gonna have to redownload CS:GO again.

No. I love to steal AKs from Ts and try to keep it for as long as possible. That is one of the things I just love about CS. They should keep it this way.
Also, this adds a nice touch to competitive games.
Valve’s confirmed it’ll launch Counter-Strike: Global Offensive this summer. The game was one of many present at last week’s Xbox Spring Showcase in San Francisco. The release will come with new and updated maps, new gameplay modes, leaderboards and more. It’s being made by Valve alongside Hidden Path Entertainment.
More news, cross platform play removed: http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/05/counter-strike-global-offensive-loses-cross-play/
A lot can change in six months. As of last summer, Valve had planned to offer cross-play for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on the PC, Mac, and PS3. But based on what it's learned from the beta, Valve has decided to strip the functionality in favor of offering constant updates for players on the PC and Mac.
"The beta has proved we want to update not just the beta, but the game itself post-launch frequently on the PC," Valve's Chet Faliszek revealed to Joystiq. "To do that we need to separate the platforms so one doesn't hamstring the other. So for that, we have removed the idea of cross-platform play -- essentially make all platforms stronger by not mixing them."
If you would like to get into the ongoing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta, fill out Valve's survey. If you want cross-play back in the game, wait to sign one of the dozens of online petitions currently being created.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand I was kind of looking forward to playing with console players in a competitive shooter. On the other hand I love Valve's frequent and free updates.
Honestly with the hell Valve apparently has to go through to push an update to consoles I'm glad they've chosen to do that.

I'm not surprised at all. Cross-platform play won't be a reality until Microsoft and Sony change their policies.
Thank you.
Valve took the right turn if Sony and Microsoft want's these companies to spend money just for updates then i say they made the right choice who knows this might point to an early release if they can get all the bugs out and the game out on time hopefully like they stated the game might come this summer.
p.s. PC might come first cause Sony & Microsoft might find some way to change the games release date but valve will just release it for PC first and console might have to wait but lets hope not :( Steam Box any one
I'm not surprised at all. Cross-platform play won't be a reality until Microsoft and Sony change their policies.
Steam Box bitches! Honestly maybe that's why they scrapped it, I guess it's easier for Valve to make their own console and make it cross platform that way :v: I like that way of thinking!
Cross-platform play won't be a reality
Portal 2
afaik its only pc and ps3 cross platform, microsoft are stingy bastards
I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand I was kind of looking forward to playing with console players in a competitive shooter. On the other hand I love Valve's frequent and free updates.
A couple of weeks ago when I read an interview that Tim Schafer did stating that it cost $40,000 to push an update on Xbox 360 I read that the numbers are equally high on Play Station 3. Add Valve Time with the consoles "certification" time and we would never see an update to CS:GO.
In other words, I understand and appreciate this move from Valve and lets be honest here, the PS3 players would be so handicap if they were using a controller.
Good thing PS3 supports mouse and keyboard.

Better then COD?
Better then COD?
Shaders and shadows? Yeah.
Textures and models? About equal, if not marginally better.
Looks alright aside from the awful bloom and very blocky geometry. Certainly nothing beyond what we've already seen on source and IMO uglier than current CSGO maps.

That bench to the left is so sexy.
Valve really needs to get some of the newer graphical features in Source.
Like FXAA, object based motion blur, advanced shaders, tessellation (maybe). As long as they don't add texture streaming to that list, they'd be right up there with id and Epic in terms of graphics.
Chickens!
oh my god.
It's official: CS:GO is better than 1.6 and CS:S.

Chicken-Strike: Poultry Offensive
Comes with maps such as cs_coop and de_goldenarches.

What's wrong with texture streaming? It's just a way to fit higher res textures in vram, no real problem unless it's an awful implementation. Also FXAA isn't exactly an advanced graphical feature, just a post process really.
