My computer's lagging like a bitch. Did it get laggier from the update (shadow engine) released today? I wouldn't know. Someone said lake was also a laggy map. I'm thinking it's just my computers, but did today's update make the game laggier?

I shouldn't be getting, my graphics card should be good enough.
Its frustrating being a huge fan of counterstrike and not getting in while there are Brazilians and Russians getting in who think a keyboard is a piece of toast which you smash your face on.

It means ur graphics card doesn't support shader model 3.0 , meaning u need a new graphics card so you might as well hand it over!

Besides from them being sharper, they're also dynamic and they show up on viewmodels and everything else much better. Bad comparison but it was the only screenshot I took before the update.

It's on by default, you can see it in action on the trees on de_lake or whatever the new map is called.
And my FPS lowered to 25 :(

Whats your graphic card?
if your graphics card support directx 9.0c then you can play it, make sure you updated drivers

However they did just add Dynamic Shadows too, and it seems to lower FPS. Its defiantly worth it, though!

It'll probably get optimized later, seeing how it's very new to have dynamic lighting on the entire map on source.
