The problem with RO2 is that they managed to make UE3 look unimpressive, yet run worse than crysis on the same hardware. They claimed that some of the options were for ultra high end computers, which... is fine, but those options didn't even look good.
When RO2 came out it was so sluggish on really high end hardware. I'm running a 4.5ghz 2600k, 16GB DDR 1600 ram, and dual 3GB 580 lightnings. It was at like 35-40fps at 1080p with the highest options. And the game doesn't even use normal MSAA. It was FXAA. In Crysis warhead I easily sit around 80 even with explosions. And the game looks incredible obviously.
I believe that was the main hulla bulloooooo with all that. RO2 was one of my most hated purchases. I loved the first RO, but this felt so akward to play.

I rated you dumb, but still many times developers have to think about this. People who think they have good computers and then whine when they can't play it on the highest options.
At the same time, I can't see how the source engine could run badly even with all the stuff they're putting in.
Think I would get a key for portal 2, portal, and 3 nuclear dawn guest passes?

Hey, I did too! I was able to get into the beta before this, the game was pretty cash. Now I'll have to make time for TI and CS:GO (That's if I actually get into the beta.)

Might have cs_italy in the next update, and there is going to be an option between classic modes and arsenal.

I haven't played the beta but my friend has been in since it started. He hates it. The have useable scopes on some SMGs, the FOV is terrible, and the aiming is crap. Is this true? I was going to buy it but not after hearing this.

Useable scopes on some SMGs? No, scopes are only on snipers, AUG, and SSG 553. FOV is at 90, which is usually the highest for source. Aiming seems the same.
I heard the FOV is zero, people are aiming all over the place and the grenades have a scope? Is it true?

no update today or am i missing something?
I suddently got into Dota2 beta (I don't even remember answering it's survey), but I don't like it. I wish I could give it to another person who wants it, or maybe trade for a CS:GO, which is a game that I'm interested on testing and playing.
Sadly, it seems I didn't have the choice of holding it as a gift so I could give it to anyone else, it just registered on my account automatically.
Not to go off topic, but holy shit is Tactical Intervention fun. There are bunch of neat0 features added like being able to have your own dog attack people/hold a hostage for cover/grapple down buildings/blindfire (my favorite). I also accidentally joined a lobby with Minh le (Goes with the player name Gooseman), he was answering everyone's questions while playing... shit was cash. I got a bit of it recorded, I'll be uploading it soon.
I'm hoping CS:GO can compare to TI now.
Yeah I wish I could trade my Dota 2 for CSGO, too.
TI looks p neat, but I'm generally disinterested in it.
The update will probably come tonight.
