CS:GO is filled with new players and old players. You can tell which players are new to counter-strike overall and which players are old players from back then. I had someone ask me "what does a star mean," later revealing he only had 10 hours in counter-strike games
And then I encountered someone who was dominating everyone and had a score of around 20:2
There needs to be a server browser/dedicated servers soon. I'm getting tired of match-making and only finding servers running Dust2 and Italy. I want more variety.
I typed map into console and found a map called "de_dust2_se", does anyone know the difference between the normal de_dust2 and the se version?

I COMPLETELY understand. Also being a game dev, I can't stand animations like this. The thing that really bugs me about CS:GO is that they're using SO MUCH content from L4D2. That isn't the Valve I know, and quite frankly I don't want to keep getting reminded of l4d2 while I'm playing a counterstrike game. They've used sounds, maps, models, textures, and view model coding(which looks dreadful imo) in CS:GO not to mention that the view model animations must have been animated by the same person who animated the L4D2 weapons because they are made in the same exact style. This style is overly exaggerated and immersion breaking for me personally and I believe it is the reason why some people find CS:GO to be cartoony.

It's in the blog post. Basically, its a version of dust2 for competitive play.

sometimes i get the xbox layout in the menu..ugh, but only for 3 seconds.
so from the video, I kinda like the L4D viewmodel, berretas and famas look actually really good, but when going full auto with the galil it just starts teleporting from tlace to place in your hands from the recoil (don't know if other guns look same, just noticed it here), models of those are sweet, though. Other thing I don't really like are the viewmodel running animations (which are pparently the same as L4D), I think there should be more swing, as the viewmodel looks almost fixed in place.

More swing would just ruin the game though as the gun shoots in the exact way it is pointing.
